Process Content Method AES
Pre-task 1.Have the students sing the song on P21. Then ask them some questions. 2.Show the picture of the food to the students. Then ask them some questions 3.It’s time for tea time. . e.g. T: How is ice cream S: Cold and sweet.T: Do you like ice cream S: Yes/No. e.g.,T: What are they S: Sweets.T: Do you like sweets S: Yes/No.T :It’s tea time.
While-task 1.Put up the wall picture on the board and discuss with students what food and drink items can be found on the dinner table.2.Introduce the vocabulary words ‘jelly’, ‘ice cream’,’ sweet’ and so on. Carefully pronounce the words and let students repeat several times. Ask ‘What is this ’ Then say the word and ask the students to repeat.3.Divide the class into groups of four. Have them practice the dialogue. Select groups to act out the role-play to the class. Open the book to page 19,20. Ask students to listen to the cassette tape. Then, join in to practice the pronunciation when you play the tape again.Point to the various food and drink items on the wall picture and ask individial students the question ‘Do you like…’ to elicit ‘One for you and one for me.’
Post-task Show any one of the picture cards to pairs of students. Have one ask the question ‘Do you like… ’ and the other answer it ‘Yes, I like…/No, I don’t like…’
