(1) Who is your favourite English poet
George Gordon Byron.
(2) Which of his/her poems do you like best Why
I like her poem “She Walks in Beauty” best. This poem
is a song of praise. Using a unique perspective, the poet
describes a flowing beauty by vividly presenting a
woman’s beauty to us as if we see her in person. Her
beauty is not artificial but natural. Besides being
beautiful, she is honest and kind under the poet’s pen.
Through her quiet face we can see into her pure soul.
1. Please get the general idea of how to recite a poem by answering the following questions.
(1) What should you do before reciting a poem
We must understand a poem first and then we can
recite it properly. Memorize the poem, as this is
essential for reciting it naturally.
Implementation

stanzas
No, it isn’t. We should read with a full, clear voice and
speak slightly slower than normal so that the audience
will hear clearly.

(3) What’s his greatest achievement
He won the Nobel Prize for literature.
(4) What’s the theme of the poem “If—” by Rudyard
Kipling
The poet advised his son to keep conscious when others
doubt him, blame him and even lie to him. He
encouraged his son to keep wise, hold his dream and
take good advantage of precious time. It is a motivating
poem.
