教学设计 Unit 8 What can you do (2)
Teaching aims:
1.能听懂Let’s talk部分和行为习惯相关的词汇。
2.运用以下句型谈论“xx能干什么?” What can … do I/He/She/It/They /… can …
3.能听懂、熟读对话,语音语调准确自然。
Teaching Process:
Ⅰ. Greetings ,warming up and revision.
(1) listen to the song and encourage students to sing a song . Show the picture of the singer --- TF boys and ask Ss “What can they do ”( They can sing a song.)
(2) Leading-in the title and answer it like this : “I can sing a song.”
(3) Do a word test Check the answers and chant the dialogue: What can you do I can.. .with my .. .
Ⅱ. Presentation.
Step1: draw a picture of fish and ask students : What can they do (They can swim very well.) Little teacher lead the reading. Practice the picture 1 & 2 in pairs and show us your dialogues.
Step2: Listen to the dialogues for twice, then answer the question: What can the dog do
Step3: Choose one picture which you like the best ,then practice with your partner, at last ,show your dialogue group by group.
Let’s chant the text: What can you do I can sing a song. What can the fish do It can swim. What can the dog do It can help the man .
What can the monkeys do They can climb the tree.
Ⅲ. Text development.
Step1:play a game “Passing down”, Ss should look at the pictures and make a dialogue in pairs : What’s he doing ( He is cooking.) He can do some housework at home.
Step2: They can do many things ,they’re helpful. Can you Try to be a helpful person!
Step3: Show them a group of pictures who are disabled.
Step4: Show the wisdoms for Ss: Where there is a will, there is a way.(有志者,事竟成)
Step 5操练活动的设计与实施建议(Practice Activities)
(1)Part C Listen and tick
1. 教师出示本部分图片,引导学生仔细观察图片,并回答问题:What can he / she do
2. 教师播放本部分录音,引导学生根据录音内容,在相应图片下面的圆圈里打“√"。
3. 教师再次播放录音,引领学生核对答案。
录音内容如下:
1. —What can you do
—I can jump rope.
2. —Can Colin speak Chinese
—Yes, he can.
3. My grandma can’t drive. But she can cook well.
4. —Can he see
—No, he can’t. But he can hear.

(2)Part C Match and write
1. 教师引导学生先读一读给出的动然后仔细观察、描述图片,并将左侧的动词与相应的图片连线。
2. 教师引领学生细读例句,指导他们参考例句和词图连线结果,完成右侧的句子。
3. 教师提出问题,随机挑选学生作答,核对答案。参考问题如下:
What can Miss White do / Can Miss White speak English
What can the policeman do / Can the policeman help Grandma
What can the boys do / Can the boys see the sun
What can Mr. Zhao do / Can Mr. Zhao sing a song
What can Grandpa do / Can Grandpa hear the boy
What can my grandma do / Can my grandma close the window

(3)单元小复习
在故事学习、表演完毕后,教师可引导学生对本单元所学的知识做一个小小的回顾和总结。以下方法可供教师参考:
1. 由教师带领学生对本单元所学的重点词汇、重点句型逐一进行复习,可以是口头的、书空的,也可以做一些简单的小测验等。
2. 组织学生分组归纳和总结本单元的重点词汇和句型,培养学生与他人合作的意识。
