What’s the passage about
Which kind of light pollution can cause birds to lose themselves
Does light pollution always mean too much light
Read and answer
Light pollution is a type of pollution. It is defined as “any adverse (or bad) effect as a result of man-made lights.” Usually, this means too much light.
There are five kinds of light pollution: light trespass, over-illumination, clutter, glare and sky glow.
Sky glow usually has more of an effect on the environment than light trespass and glare, but all of them are a major problem to people today. Sky glow is the kind of light pollution that prevents people from seeing stars and other deep-space objects. This causes birds to not be able to migrate to the right place because they can not follow the moon and stars. Sky glow also prevents astronomers from seeing dim objects.
Light trespass is when light being used by a person goes into the property of another. Although light trespass is not an environmental issue, it is still light pollution.
The third kind of light pollution, glare, has different kinds. The first, disability glare, is the loss of visibility because of too many lights. Discomfort glare is when the lights cause pain.

What may cause air pollution according to the passage
What’s the meaning of the word “pollutants”
What effects does air pollution have according to the passage
Read and answer
The air you breathe is not as clean as you may think. Air pollution is a big problem in the world today. Unwanted chemicals, gases, and particles enter the air and atmosphere, causing harm to the planet and all life on it. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), billions of people around the world breathe poor-quality air as a result of pollution.
Air pollution can be caused by natural events, such as volcanic eruptions, forest fires, and dust storms. While the biggest contributors to air pollution, however, are human sources. Many different types of gases are released by factories, power plants, cars, and airplanes. That’s why large cities, where these sources are concentrated, tend to have higher levels of polluted air. To make matters worse, tall buildings may prevent these air pollutants from spreading out. When too many pollutants build up in the air, the polluted air may appear as smog – a mix of smoke and fog. Cities that are prone to smog include New Delhi in India and Karachi in Pakistan.
Air pollution has a range of negative effects on human health. These effects can be minor, such as headaches or eye irritation. However, long-term exposure to air pollutants can cause serious health problems such as heart disease, lung cancer, and so on. Our planet suffers, too. Air pollutants may contaminate our water and soil through direct contact. They may also mix with water and oxygen in the atmosphere to form acid rain.

What’s the passage about
How many causes of land pollution are mentioned
According to the passage, what can we do to prevent land pollution
Read and answer
There are many causes of land pollution from the trash. we throw away in our homes to waste produced at giant factories. Sometimes chemicals from the trash can contaminate the soil and eventually, the groundwater we need for drinking.
Garbage - The average person in the United States produces around 4 1/2 pounds of trash every day! That's a lot of trash. Some of this trash gets recycled, but much of it ends up in a landfill or on the ground.
Mining - Mining can directly destroy the land, producing large holes in the ground and causing erosion. It can also release toxic chemicals into the air and soil.
Farming - We all need farms to eat, but agriculture has destroyed many ecosystems and animal habitats. Farming also produces a lot of pollution in the form of chemicals such as pesticides and herbicides. Animal waste from livestock can also pollute the soil and, eventually, the water supply.
Factories - Many factories produce a significant amount of garbage and waste. Some of this waste is in the form of damaging chemicals. There are regulations in some countries to prevent harmful chemicals from getting dumped directly onto the land, but this is not the case in many countries.
