The most valuable giftThe most valuable gift I have ever received is the book The Old Man and the Sea from my mother.
I received it on my 13th birthday. I was so excited and surprised to get it. I just failed to pass the exam some days ago and I felt really upset those days. After noticing that, my mother wanted to encourage me to be strong and not to give up, so she bought it for me. I finished reading the book soon. I learnt a lot from the book and I understood my mother' s love to me. From then on, I never give up. I keep trying my best. So I consider it the most valuable gift.
