One of the best-known American writers of children’s books is Alfred Strong, or Doctor Strong, as he is better known to readers everywhere. Now, an art show called “Doctor Strong From Then to Now”is travelling around the United States. The pictures and drawings show the history of Doctor Strong.
Doctor Strong first became famous almost fifty years ago when his first children’s book was published. Since then, he has written forty-five books that have sold more than one hundred million copies around the world.

Sometimes people come into your life and you know right away that they are meant to be there...to serve some sort of purpose, teach you a lesson or help figure out who you are or who you want to become.
You never know who these people may be but, when you lock eyes with them, you know that every moment they will affect your life in a profound way.
And sometimes things happen to you at the time that may seem horrible, painful and unfair but, upon reflection, you realize that without overcoming those hardships, you would have never realized your potential, strength, willpower or heart.
Everything happens for a reason. Nothing happens by means of good luck. Illness, injury, love, lost moments of true greatness and absolute stupidity all happen to test the limits of you soul.
Without these small tests, life would be like a smooth, straight, flat road to nowhere. Safe and comfortable but meaningless. The people you meet affect your life. The successes and failures that you experience can create who you are, and the bad experiences can be learned from. In fact, they are probably the most important ones.
If someone hurts you, betrays(背叛)you or breaks your heart, forgive them because they have helped you learn about trust and the importance of being careful with whom you open your heart to. If someone loves you, love them back, not only because they love you, but because they are teaching you to love and open your heart and eyes to little things.
Make every day count. Appreciate every moment and take from it everything that you possibly can, for you may never be able to experience it again. Talk to people you have never talked to before, and actually listen. Hold your head up because you have every right to. Tell yourself you are an unique individual and believe in yourself, for if you don’t believe in yourself, no one else will believe in you.
46、The first paragraph tells us that_______.

A. set a higher life goal B. open your heart to others

50、The writer develops the passage by_______.

Recently, I gave my 88-year-old grandfather a call on his birthday. He was as energetic as ever. I know he’s a disciplined man who relies on very strict routines. But I realized I never asked him about his secret.
As a matter of fact, you don’t need to look at scientific research on habits to figure out what to do. Just look at what a healthy family member does if you have one. You’ll see the patterns. Look at the good things they do and copy them. That’s what I’ve been doing with my grandfather. At first, I think you need to decide what habit you want to form. When you know what you want, it’s important to know when you want to do it. I often wake up at 6 am., do a three-mile run and have breakfast before I go to work. The exercise may seem a bit challenging but you can adjust the distance to suit yourself. Besides, I like to measure my habits whenever possible. For lifting weights, my goal is to do it for at least 30 minutes each time. For my runs, however, it’s a bit more flexible because it depends on how my legs feel.
Most people think it takes 66 days on average to form a habit, but my grandfather will beg to differ, “In my experience, it takes a week to get used to doing something regularly. So if you wake up at the same time every day for a whole week, you can count on yourself to do it every day from that point.”
That’s solid advice. Why set the bar low You can make it if you go all out.
