“No+名词/动名词,,常用于标语中,表示“禁止……”(一般在公共场所使用)。
常见有:
No smoking! 禁止吸烟!
No parking! 禁止停车!
No swimming! 禁止游泳!
No spitting! 禁止吐痰!

Language points
2.Jenny and Bill meet at three o’clock to work on their project.
to work on their project动词不定式短语作状语。
work on意为“继续工作,从事,实施”。
Eg:
She knew how to work on the project.
她知道如何实施这个方案(项目)。
He is working on a book.
他正在写一本书。
3.Danny rushes into the library with a basketball in his hand.
with引导伴随状语,修饰前面的动作,表示动作发生时的状态。
Eg:She walks into classroom with an apple
in her mouth.
她走进教室,嘴里咬着一个苹果。
Mary went home with her bag.
玛丽背着包回家了。
4. I said we would meet at a quarter to three.
主句是过去时,从句为过去将来时,would为will的
过去式。过去将来时表示在过去某个时间看,将要发
生的动作或状态,多用于宾语从句或间接引语之中。
其结构是:would(should)+动词原形或was (were)
going to+动词原形。
Eg:
Mary said she would go to the school again.
玛丽说她将再一次去那所学校。
I didn't know how he would go.
我不知道他会怎么去。
5.she's half an hour late!
形容词与数量词或词组连用时,要放在后面。
Eg:
The road is about 50 metres wide.
这条路大约宽50米。
The new building is twenty—five storeys high.
这座新楼有25层高。
Her two-year-old daughter is lovely.
她的两岁的女儿非常可爱。
