具体用法上的区别
I had lunch.
I have already had lunch.

一般过去时表示过去发生的某一个动作，与现在无关；
现在完成时表示过去发生的动作对现在有影响。
I did my homework last night.
I have done my homework for three hours.
I learned English ten years ago.
I have learned English for ten years.
现在完成时还表示动作从过去延续到现在，可能还要持续下去。
1.现在完成时表示过去发生的动作对现在有影响。

一般过去时表示过去发生的某一个动作，与现在无关。

时间状语的区别
一般过去时常与yesterday, last week，…ago, in 1980, just now. 等具体的时间状语连用
现在完成时通常与for, since, already, yet, in past few years, ever, never, just. 等不确定的时间状语连用。

I haven' t found my book yet. ( 还没，用于否定句)
Have you found your book yet (还没，用于疑问句)
Have you ever been to America (曾经)
I' ve done my homework since 3 hours ago / since 7 p.m. (自从+时间点)
I've done my homework for 3 hours.(持续+时间段)
现在完成时常用时间状语
