I arrived in Penang in Malaysia this morning with my family. It was sunny and hot, so we decide to go to the beach near our hotel. My sister and I tried paragliding. I felt like I was a bird. It was so exciting. For lunch, we had something very special---Malaysian yellow noodles. They were delicious! In the afternoon, we rode bicycles to Georgetown.

There are a lot of new buildings now, but many of the old buildings are still there. In Weld Quay, a really old places in Georgetown, we saw the house of the Chinese traders from 100 years ago.

What a difference a day makes! My father and I decided to go to Penang Hill today. We wanted to walk up to the top, but then it started raining a little so we decided to take the train. We waited over an hour for the train because there were too many people. When we got to the top, it was raining really hard.

Language Points
1. I felt like I was a bird. 我觉得我是一只鸟。
feel like是动词短语，意为“给······的感觉；感受到”。
有以下两种结构：
（1）feel like＋从句，意为“觉得好像是······”。
He feels like that he has never been to such a place. 他觉得他好像从没到过这样的地方。
（2）feel like＋doing，意为“想做······”。
I feel like giving a party. 我想举行一个派对。
2. I wonder what life was like here in the past. 我想知道过去在这里的生活是什么样的。
(1)wonder是及物动词，意为“想知道；琢磨”，后接 who ,what, why, where 等引导的宾语从句。
I wonder who she is. 我在想她是谁。
(2) wonder后接that引导的宾语从句,表示“感到惊奇; 对······感到惊讶”, that常可省去。
I wonder (that) she has won the race.我对她赢得比赛感到惊讶。
(3)wonder后接if或whether引导的宾语从句，常用来表示一种委婉的请求或疑问。
She wondered whether you were free that morning. 她想知道那天早上你是否有空。
(4)wonder后接动词不定式短语, 表示“感到惊奇;对······感到惊讶”。
I wondered to see you there. 在那见到你我感到很惊讶。
3. What a difference a day makes!多么不同的一天啊！
make用作使役动词表示“使；使成为” 时，可跟复合结构, 即“make+宾语+宾语补足语”,其中的宾语补足语可以是不带to的不定式、过去分词、形容词或名词。
