Unit6 Review
Lesson 1
⑴教学目标:

②能力目标:Listen, read and say.
③情感目标:感受家庭温馨和睦的氛围,培养尊老爱幼的优良品质。
⑵教学重难点:Try to act out the conversation.
⑶教学过程:
1. Review: my/his/her
Place the five objects listed above on a table on a table in front of the children.
Have five children each holdup one of the objects. Stand next to the child holding a ruler, for example, and ask the other children, “Is it his ruler or her ruler ” Repeat the question if they are unsure.
Repeat the procedure with the remaining five children.
Hold up a pen and a book of your own, and say, “This is my pen.” This is my book.
Have a child hold up a pen and say, “This is my pen.” Elicit from the children, “That’s his pen.” Or “That’s her pen.”
Repeat the procedure with two other children.
2. Introduce the story
Hold up your mask of Bobby Bear and say, “Here is a new friend. His name’s Bobby Bear.”
Say, “Hi,Bobby!” Have the children greet Bobby in the same way.
3. Talk about the story
Have the children look at the pictures carefully and talk something about the pictures.
4. Story
Listen to the tape, have the children repeat the words before you move on to the next picture.
Divide the class into three groups, one for Bobby Bear, one for Tommy, and one for Ken. Play the tape one line at a time. Have each group repeat the dialog for their character.
Choose three children to replay the dialog in front of the class. Play the tape one line at a time. Each child should repeat his or her line and act it. Go through the story.
5. Flashcard game
Spread all the flashcards face-up on the table. Have the children either sit or stand around the table, close enough to be able to reach and touch the flashcards.
Explain to the children that they are going to play a game where the teacher calls out an English word. The first child to put his or her hand on the matching flashcard wins that card. The game finishes when there are no flashcards left on the table. The winner is the child who has collected the most cards.

Lesson 2

⑵教学重难点: Remember the beginning letter of the words.
⑶教学过程:
1. Structures review: yes/no; this is/isn’t
Hold up the picture side of each flashcard in turn. Have the children name the object on each card.
Hold up each card in turn again. Say, “This is a (bag).” Use some correct names and some incorrect names. Have the children answer yes or no. if the answer is no, have the children then say, “This isn’t a (pen). This is a (pencil).”
2. Listen and match
Play the first sentence. Then play it again and have children point to the correct character as they listen to the tape.
Repeat the procedure for the other five pictures.
Play the tape again. This time have the children number the pictures as they hear the sentences.
3.Structures review: he/she
Student Book page 64
Ask the children to look again at the pictures of Ann, Ken, and Kate at the top of the page. Display your copy of the page. Point to the first picture and ask, “Who’s she ” Elicit the correct sentences, She’s Ann. Or She’s his sister. ,etc.
Repeat the procedure for the pictures of Ken, Kate, and Mocky.
Point to the picture of Ann. Say, “He ” elicit the answer no.
4. Touch and say
Display your copy of the page. Point to Ann and then read aloud what she is saying. Point to Ann and then read aloud what she is saying. Point to each word as you read it. Now point to the picture of Ann’s father.
Repeat the procedure for Mocky’s sentence.
Read the sentences again. This time have the children repeat them after you. Encourage them to point to the appropriate characters while they do so.
Now go through the same procedure for Ken, this time pointing to Ken’s mother. Do the same for Mocky.
Have the children repeat the sentences after you, using their own books and pointing to the appropriate characters.
Now explain to the children that you want them to say the correct sentences when you point to any one of the other family pictures. Make sure they use the appropriate pronouns.
5. Structures review: this/that
Choose eight children. Give each child of the character masks for Ann, Ken, Mocky, Uncle Booky, Danny, Lulu, Cathy, or Tommy.
Have the children stand in a circle, each holding up a mask.
Hold up your mask of Danny. Say, “This is Danny.” Point to one of the children’s character masks. Say, “That is (Lulu)” (substituting the correct names).
Now have the child whose mask you point to repeat the procedure.
After saying “This is (Lulu).” And substituting the correct name for his or her mask, the child should indicate another child in the circle and say, “That is (Mocky)”.
Continue until all the children have had a turn.
6. Set homework
Student Book page 65
Display page 65 of your book.
Explain that you want the children to.
Write the missing letter at the beginning of each word and color the pictures.
Tell their families the word for each picture.

⑶教学过程:
1. Talk together
Have the children stand in a circle and hold up their family pictures.
Have the child in turn say his or her English name. (Make sure each child knows the English name of the child on either side. Encourage them to ask,“What’s your name ”if they do not know.)
Have each child introduce the neighboring child to the class using the structures He’s/She’s …. That’s his/her family. Make sure the pronouns he/she and his/her are correct.
Have the children put their pictures in a pile in the center of the circle.
Explain to the children that you will pick up the pictures one at a time, and that you want them to say That’s my family. When you hold up their drawing.
Continue until you have returned all the pictures.
2. Listen and point
Say, “Now we will hear some words.” Play the tape of the first three words. Have the children point with their pencils to the first letter of each word as they hear it. Repeat for the other two rows of words.
Play the next section of the tape.(The words in each row are mixed up.)
Have the children number the pictures in the order that they hear the words.
3. Sounds and letters
Ask the class to recall the letters they have learnt(Aa-Vv).
Have the children look at Uncle Booky’s ABC and find the letters you know. Now look at the next letter Ww.
Write the letter Ww on the board. Then repeat, “This is the letter Ww.” Can you find the word that begins with Ww in Uncle Booky’s ABC Check that the children have found it.
Say, “watch”. Have the children repeat the word and point to the written word. Encourage all the children to say the word aloud as they touch it in their book.
Repeat the procedure that was used to introduce the letter Xx, Yy, Zz.
Play the tape, pointing to the matching picture of the word.
Replay the tape and have the children say the words aloud.
4. Homework
Color the letters in different colors.

⑶教学过程:
1. Write the letters Ww, Xx, Yy and Zz
Say, “Watch me write the letter W.” stand with your back to the class. Write W in the air, using large arm movements. Have the children write the letter in the air with you.
Repeat the procedure for the small letter w.
Have the children turn to page 68 and trace over the capital Ws. On the next line, they should write some capital Ws by themselves.
Follow the same procedure for Xx, Yy and Zz.
2. Listen for W, X, Y and Z.
Display your copy of the page. Point to each picture in turn and say the matching word and its beginning sound(for example, waterfall, waterfall, waterfall).
Now play the tape. As the children listen to each word they should point to its beginning sound.
Have the children trace the letters beside the pictures.
3. Let’s sing
Have the children open their books at page 69.
Say, “We are going to learn a song about alphabets.”
Read the letters to the children, pointing to each letter.
Play the tape from the beginning twice, then ask children to sing with the tape.
4. Cross the wrong picture
Have the children turn to page 70 in their books. Display your own copy of the page and point to the c row. Say, “Two of the pictures have names that begin with letter c. One picture doesn’t belong.”
Have the children name the three objects in the row ( girl, carrots and apple.) Ask, “Which name does not begin with letter c ” Elicit girl and apple and have the children cross out the pictures of girl and apple.
Repeat the procedure for each row.

⑶教学过程:
1. Match and color
Have the children turn to page 71. Display your own page and point to the first picture. Ask a child to tell the class what is in the picture.
Repeat for the other three pictures.
Read the sentence That’s Wang Ling’s grandfather. Ask the children to point to the picture where Mocky would be using those words.
Repeat for the other three pictures.
Have the children draw lines to match each picture with the correct speech bubble.
The children can color the page at home.
2. Check the box
Point to the first character and read the first question, “Who’s he ” Point to each word as you say it.
Have the children repeat the words as you point to them.
Now read the second question, “Who’s she ” ask the children if this is correct. Elicit the answer no. Make sure that the children know why it is not correct.
Repeat the question, “Who’s he ” Encourage the children to point to the words in their books as they answer, “He’s Ken.”
Repeat the procedure for the other two characters.
Explain to the children that you want them to check the boxes beside the correct questions.
3. Let’s sing
Teach and sing the song “Happy New Year.”
4. Self-assessment
Explain to the children that now we come to the end of the book. It’s time for us to assess ourselves. Have the children evaluate themselves with the items listed on the left column. Check the individual child’s assessment and stick a stick a sticker on his/her page.

1. Vocabulary Test
Use the 12 flashcards from the vocabulary listed on this page. Hold up each card in turn and elicit the correct words from the children.
Show each card, one at a time, and ask, “What is this ” The children should respond with the name of the picture.
2. Listening Test
Children will listen to a sentence, and then identify a picture that matches the sentence.
Have the children open their books at page 75. Say, “Point to the three pictures at the top of your page. Now listen to the tape.”
Play the tape for sentence 1. Say, “Now check the picture that matches the sentences.”
Continue for sentences 2 through 6.
3. Reading Test
Children will read the sentence, look at the picture, and identify the correct word in the box to complete the sentence.
Have the children open their books. Point to the first task and say, “Read the words and look at the picture.”
Point to the word boxes. Say, “Only one box is correct.” Explain that the children must choose the correct box.
Have the children check the box which they think is correct.
Repeat the procedure for the other five tasks.
4. Sounds and Letters Test
Children will listen to the words that represent the pictures. They identify and check the beginning letter of that word.
Have the children open their books at page 77. Point to the first picture (the bike).
Say, “Listen to the word on the tape.” Play the tape for the first word.
Say, “Point to the three next to the picture. Which letter does bike start with Check under that letter.
Repeat the procedure for the other words.
