1. Teaching Objectives:
1) Ss can know some new words, surprise and cake, and some new sentences, “There’s….”, “I see so many….”.
2) Ss can gradually adapt to text reading.
3) Ss can act the story out.

1) Warming up and lead in
a. Play the birthday song.
b. Present Zoom’s friends (seven related animals)
T: Look, they are Zoom’s friends, who are they
S1: Elephant.
S2: duck.
S3/S4: cat, pig, bird.
S5: 马.
T: Yes, horse is Zoom’s friend, too. Now, read after me. Horse↗↘.
Ss: Horse↗↘
T: And what’s this (T points the lion)
Ss: 狮子.
T: Yes, this is a lion. Read after me, lion↗↘.
Ss: Lion↗↘.
T: Wow, Zoom has so many friends. (Lead in “so many….”)
c. Present a Wechat Group without Zoom
Zoom’s friends want to give Zoom a surprise.
T: Whose birthday is it
Ss: Zoom’s birthday.
T: Let’s look the two pictures. What are they
Ss: A cake.
Ss: 蜡烛.
T: Yes, a cake and so many candles. Candles↗↘.
Ss: Candles↗↘.
