This online concert is absolutely fantastic. The performers from the two schools have done their best in entertaining the audience with one song after another. Their performances are undoubtedly of high quality, which makes the concert almost no different from a live one.I enjoyed every second of the concert and was particularly attracted when the boys and girls from Britain started to sing the traditional Chinese song“Liang Zhu” .They performed the song in a way that touched my heart and gave me a feeling of connection. I hope there will be more opportunities in the future for the students from China and our international friends to learn about and from each other.
One day in the trees, Squirt met up with a family of gray squirrels. But the family was not too happy about his visit. They scolded him and beat him. At first, Squirt was upset and he avoided them. Then he quickly learned some social skills. He would bring some snacks to meet them. Soon, they became friends. For several days he played all day in the trees around our house, but when it was time to sleep he went home.
One night, Squirt didn't come back to our house and it rained hard. Our daughter became anxious. They wanted to look for Squirt. We stopped them because it was too dangerous. But when the sun came up the next day, Squirt came back to our house to beg for food, which was another relief. This pattern continued for several weeks. For our family, this experience in the outdoors was fun and warm, as well as a joyous moment raising an orphan squirrel, and our children learned to cherish and appreciate life.

There has been a very serious decline in the numbers of shallow-water fish as a result of overfishing. People still want to eat fish, so the fishing industry must look at other sources, especially the deep waters of the Atlantic.(作法与效果关系) 36G.This has resulted in a sharp decline in the numbers of many of the species caught.
Conservation measures will have to be put in place if these deep-sea fish are to survive. Research on five such species shows that numbers have declined by between 87 percent and 98 percent. 37D.This puts them in the category of'"critically endangered极度濒危”.(原因与结果关系) Many species could well disappear completely if the present trend continues. These are species that have been swimming in our oceans for hundreds of millions of years.
The problem is emphasized by the fact that the decline in numbers happened in less than twenty years. Deep-sea fish take a long time to reproduce and normally live for many years. 转折关系38C.Unfortunately, their reproduction rate is very low. The average size of such fish also declined, with one species showing a 57 percent decline in average size. This is of particular concern, as large fish tend to produce more offspring后代 than small ones.
39E.None of these facts has been taken into account by the fishing industry. (原因与结果关系)The deep-sea species have been caught as if they were the fast-breeding (快速繁殖)fish like sardine and herring. It is like killing elephants as if they reproduced at the same rate as rabbits.
The damage done by overfishing goes beyond the sea environment. Millions of people make a living in the fishing industry. 40A.Billions of people rely on fish for protein. (原因与结果关系)Measures must be taken to not only conserve ecosystems, but also sustain livelihoods and ensure food security.
B.Many people now choose not to eat deep-sea fish.
F.Overfishing is a major cause of decline in populations of ocean wildlife.

This online concert is absolutely fantastic. Featuring our school and a friendly school in the UK, the concert showcased various musical performances from talented students across different genres. The audio and video quality was excellent, making it easy to enjoy the performances from the comfort of our homes. The use of technology to bring people together from different parts of the world was impressive. However, I would have appreciated more interaction between the performers and the audience, as it would have made the experience more engaging. Overall, the concert was a success, and I hope to see more collaborations(合作; 协作)like this in the future. It was a unique opportunity to appreciate the diversity of musical talent from different cultures and countries, and it was a great way to showcase the power of music to unite people.
