课标内容解读 2022年英语课程标准提出要加强单元教学的整体性。单元整体教学是对教学内容进行分析、整合、重组,并以一个完整的教学主题作为一个教学内容单元的教学方式。英语单元整体教学对于落实英语学科核心素养、转变教学理念及教学方式,培养学生的思维能力,具有重要意义。单元整体教学强调教学内容的整体性、关联性及发展性,需要关注以下要点:深入研读语篇,围绕主题挖掘育人价值,确定单元育人目标及教学主线;围绕主线,分析、重组教学内容,形成单元主题及语言内容框架图;秉持英语学习活动观设计学习理解、应用实践、迁移创新等活动;贯彻落实教学评一体化,丰富评价方式,实现以评促学,以评促教。
模块内容分析(Analysis of the learning materials) 教材内容分析: 【What】本模块主题为爱好,属于“人与自我”主题范畴,涉及“丰富、充实、积极向上的生活”和“自我认识,自我管理,自我提升”。本模块语篇涵盖对话、记叙文、 新闻特写等类型,涉及爱好问询、发展爱好的经历、爱好的意义等内容。Unit1 的对话围绕 Betty、Tony、Lingling 三名学生关于爱好的交流展开。他们都有共同爱好--收藏,但是藏品不同:Lingling 收藏扇子、Betty 收藏钱币和邮票、Tony 收藏车票。三名学生最后一起讨论了收藏的意义——不在于藏品本身的价值,而在于其带给人们的美好回忆。Unit 2 的记叙文围绕中学生 David 的爱好展开,采取典型的总--分--总结构,首先介绍爱好的益处,然后具体介绍 David 选择写作这一爱好的经历,以及这项爱好带来的益处,最后提出 David 对未来的设想。Unit 3 “A fantastic hobby”为一篇新闻特写,讲述英国男孩 Sed 对于其航海爱好的看法,“Around the world”介绍了美国和其它国家人们的一种爱好——体验过去人们的生活方式。 【Why】爱好这一话题接近学生生活,能够激发学生浓厚的学习兴趣与表达欲望,具有明显的育人价值。爱好的培养对于青少年的健康成长有重要意义,有利于建立学生自信,帮助学生认识自我、接纳自己、进而培养学生健康的心理和健全的人格。通过该模块的学习,学生能够更好地认识爱好的内涵,了解其重要性,培养良好的爱好,最终实现自我成长与发展。 【How】本模块语法重点为英语简单句,核心语言涉及爱好问询(如用 Wh questions—when, where, what, how often, why…提问);介绍自我及他人爱好(如使用as well as, such as, as a result, be interested in, like/enjoy doing, spend free time doing 等表达, 和一般过去时描述爱好发展);爱好意义(make you…, develop your…, help you learn…)等。Unit 1 对话语篇以问答方式描述询问爱好的时间、地点、原因、方式;Unit 2 书面语篇通过描述和记叙两种方式,描述不同爱好及其作用,记叙爱好发展历程,提出未来展望。Unit 3 书面语篇,介绍不同文化背景下人的不同爱好及其意义。教学设计框架图:
学情分析(Analysis of the students) 八年级12班学生英语基础扎实,能够用英语表达自己的想法,学生在小学阶段及初一阶段已接触过该话题,掌握表达爱好及原因的基本语言知识;爱好这一话题与学生生活联系紧密,学生乐于分享、表达欲强烈;学生的逻辑思维、分析、总结、批判性思维能力仍需提升,结构化知识尚未形成。

教材分析(Analysis of the learning material) 【What】Unit 1 Activity3 的对话围绕 Betty, Tony, Lingling 三名学生的共同爱好——收藏展开。对话中三名学生交流了各自不同的收藏、藏品的来源以及对收藏的看法。Lingling 收藏扇子,多来自朋友的礼物;Betty 收藏来自世界各地的钱币和邮票;Tony收藏车票如火车票、汽车票。三名学生最后一起讨论了收藏的意义—不在于藏品本身的价值,而在于其带给人们的美好回忆。【Why】通过对不同藏品的讨论启发学生思考收藏的意义,引导学生形成正确价值观。【How】对话就收藏这一爱好的不同方面展开问询,包括 what, why, where 等内容。话轮的转换主要通过特殊疑问句、一般疑问句以及对话者的语音语调的变化来推动。对话为非正式场合,口语特色明显,较多使用简单句。

Step 2 Lead-in Lead in the topic and activate the atmosphere. Have a free talk on hobbies. 2. Guess what the special hobby is with the help of some pictures. Encourage Ss to express themselves freely. Check if they are familiar with the theme and topic.

Step 3 Pre-listening Know about the hobby of collecting things and get ready for the listening task. Learn new words with the help of pictures. Step 4 While-listening 1. Understand the dialogue and summarize the key information on hobbies by taking notes while listening. 2. Infer the attitude of the speaker through the change of intonation. 3. Internalize the language while reading in roles. 1. Listen and take notes to find out who collects what.2. Listen for more information about their collections and answer the questions: (1) Where did Lingling get the fans (2) What does Lingling think of Betty’s collection (3) Why does Tony collect tickets (4) In Lingling’s opinion, why do people collect things 3. Listen and notice the intonation then read in roles and try to imitate the change of intonation. Check the answer and observe if Ss can fully understand the conversation and apply listening skills.Focus on Ss’ performance on pronunciation, intonation and stress, and offer guidance or help if necessary.

Step 5 Post-listening Work in groups to practise what students have learned and make an interview with classmates with proper communicative strategies. 1. Work in groups and discuss about the plan to help Naya: (1) How to know about Naya’s interest (2) How to know about hobbies about Chinese culture (3) What will be talked about in your vlog for Naya Ask follow-up questions to check if Ss understand the task and offer help if necessary.
