①prepare for sth.为…做准备
e.g. All the students are busy preparing for the final exam.

e.g. We are preparing to cross the river.
2.until 到…时；直到…为止not…until直到…才…

8. look forward to +v-ing盼望；希望
e.g. I'm looking forward to seeing the new movie.
9.hear v.听说 （过：heard）
①hear from+sb. 收到某人的来信
=have/get/receive a letter from sb.
hear from him= have/get/receive a letter from him
收到他的来信
②hear of /about 听到有关

e.g. My family is taking a trip at the end of this month

11.①surprise n.惊讶；惊奇
to one’s surprise使某人惊讶的是in surprise 惊奇地
e.g. These two girls look at each other in surprise.
To my surprise, he passed the exam at last.
②surprised adj.感到惊讶的（修饰人）
be surprised at/to sth.
surprising adj.令人惊讶的（修饰物）
e.g. I’m surprised at the surprising party.
