Step 1: Presentation
1.?????? We are going to review three sentences in the poem. Please pay attention to the verbs.

2.?????? There are three kinds of verbs. They are intransitive verbs, transitive verbs and linking verbs.?(begin?vi.; eat?vt.+O ; grow link. V.+P )
3.?????? 教师引导学生归纳出判断及物动词、不及物动词和系动词的基本规律：
（1）?????? An intranstive verb does not take an object, but can have a prepositional phrase after it.

Step3: Presentation
1.教师继续呈现句子并加以介绍：

3.教师继续呈现句子,用for 来改写，如：
Hobo built Eddie a tent.=Hobo built a tent for Eddie.
归纳：如果动词是build,buy,cook,find,get,leave,make,order,pick,save等，可以用for 来改写句子。

??? 1.教师要求学生观察并讨论“Kitty gives Simon some books.”和”Simon found the weather warm.”两个句子，试图发现区分这两种句型的规律。
2.这两种句型结构分别为：a).S+V+IO+DO ;?? b).S+V+DO+OC区分方法如下：在这两个句子结构中两种不同的句子成分之间加入系动词，逻辑合理者为宾语＋宾补结构，不合理者为双宾语结构，如：

???? Simon found the weather warm. (The weather is warm. 逻辑合理是宾语补足语)。
【要点点击】
1.The rain was falling from morning till night. 雨从早下到晚。
=It was raining from morning to night. “from……till”= “from……to”表示“从……到…..”
如：他总是从周一忙到周五。 He is always busy _______ Monday _____/______ Friday.
2.?I caught a bad cold. I had a high fever and coughed a lot. 我得了重感冒,发高烧还咳嗽得厉害。 1）catch a bad cold,“得了重感冒“，有时也可写为“have a bad cold”
2).have a high fever,“发高烧”。注意这两种病的前面都有冠词“a”。
3）。”cough” 在此句中是动词，意为“咳嗽”。a lot用来修饰动词，表示该动词的频繁性，如：eat a lot吃得太多。另外cough 也可作名词，如短语“have a cough”。
