【教学目标】1.学习一些名词加上-y后缀来转换成形容词的方法。
2.运用适当的形容词来描述天气或事物的特性。
【教学重点、难点】正确使用下列短语：

【课前准备】预习并翻译短语：

【教学过程】
Step I 呈现
1.教师呈现一张多云的照片：Look at the picture. It is cloudy . 问学生：Can you describe the other pictures?鼓励学生问答：It is windy./It is rainy ./It is snowy.教师依次在黑板上写下表示天气的名词和形容词。
cloud→cloudy wind→windy rain→rainy snow→snowy
让学生同桌讨论这些名词变形容词的规律。教师帮助学生归纳规律：描述天气状况的名词末尾加上字母y就变成形容词。
2.教师再呈现晴天和雾天的图片，鼓励学生描述这两张图片：It is sunny./It is foggy.
教师板书sun→sunny和fog→foggy.
让学生继续讨论并找出规律。教师帮助学生归纳：sun和fog需要双写末尾字母再加上y变成形容词。
Step II 操练
1.??? 教师呈现不同天气状况的图片，让学生快速说出相应的名词和形容词。如教师呈现多云的图片，学生回答cloud→cloudy.
2.??? 指导学生用“头脑风暴法”巩固词汇学习。具体方法是：把学生分成两人小组，其中一人说出有关天气的任意一个名词，要求另一人快速说出其形容词并拼写，稍后交换角色操练：Work in pairs.One student will say a noun about weather and the other will say its adjective.
Step III 呈现
1.??? 教师呈现词汇luck,对学生说：“Have luck”mean“lucky”.教师继续呈现词汇health、sleep、shine、noise、fun，让学生两人一组讨论如何把它们变成相应的形容词。
2.??? 教师鼓励学生回答：“Have health”means“ healthy”、“Have sleep”means“sleepy”、“Have shine”means“shiny”、“Have noise”means“noisy”、 “Have fun”means“funny”.
3.??? 让学生讨论这些名词变成形容词的规律。教师帮助学生归纳：在这些名词末尾加上字母y变成形容词，其中fun需要末尾双写n再加上字母y，shine、noise需要去掉e再加上y.
Step IV 活动

1.It is so windy in spring. 春天总是刮风。
windy，意为“有风的，多风的”；其名词形式为wind，意思为“风”。如：

rain（雨）→rainy（有雨的），cloud（云）→cloudy（多云的）

2.The high temperature makes people sleepy. 高温使得人们感到困倦。
sleepy是形容词，意思是“困倦的，瞌睡的”。如：
That beer made me quite sleepy.啤酒使我昏昏欲睡。
辨析：sleepy与asleep
两者都是形容词，但状态不一样，sleepy表示想要睡觉，但还没睡；asleep表示已经睡着了。而且它们搭配的短语也不一样。如：
feel sleepy 感到困倦，想要睡觉的 fall asleep 睡着了，熟睡
3.People are lucky to enjoy many sunny days. 人们很幸运能享受着许多晴朗的日子。
lucky，“幸运的”。be lucky to do sth. 意思是“幸运做某事”。如a lucky dog 幸运儿
