My Trip to Beijing
I went to Beijing on vacation with my parents this summer. First, we went to Tian'anmen Square and watched the flag-raising ceremony. How exciting it was! Then we visited the Great Wall. There were a lot of people there. The next day, we visited the Palace Museum, the Summer Palace and the Temple of Heaven. We took quite a few photos there and we learnt something important about Chinese history. We were very tired but happy. We enjoyed the trip so much that we hoped to visit it again.

My Trip to Qingdao
I had a two-day trip to Qingdao with my friends last summer vacation. We had a wonderful time there.
We went to Qingdao by bus. When we got there in the afternoon, we couldn't wait to go to the beach near our hotel. The weather was nice. Everything was really beautiful. We walked along the beach and enjoyed clean air, the warm sunshine and the blue sea. In the evening, we had a big seafood dinner. It was very delicious.
The next morning, we went to Laoshan Mountain. It is not very high, but there is an old and interesting story about it. So quite a few people visit it every year.
I enjoyed this trip so much that I didn't want to go back home.
Unit2

Everyone has his own habits. Here are my good and bad habits.
I have a lot of good habits. I drink milk every day and I usually run in the morning. I like reading. I go to the library twice a week. Also, I never stay up late and I sleep for at least eight hours at night. I hardly ever eat junk food because they are not good for my health.
However, I have some bad habits, too. I never help Mom with housework. I hardly ever eat fruit. I often surf the Internet after school. And I always watch TV for more than two hours a day.
Old habits die hard. So, I will start changing before it's too late.

My name is Li Hong. My English name is Jason. Two years ago, I had some bad habits, such as eating junk food. I didn't eat vegetables or fruit. I preferred to drink coffee and cola rather than drink milk. I didn't do any sports, either. I always played computer games until midnight. So, I didn't have enough sleep. Staying up late is a bad habit. I have to change my life.

My Best Friend and I
I have a good friend, Mike. We both like sports and reading in our spare time. We study so hard that we are both good at our lessons. We always get good grades and our teachers like us very much.
At the same time, we have something different from each other. Mike likes to walk to school and enjoys music. I am used to going to school by bus and watching TV. He is more outgoing than me. He likes outdoor sports so much that he does long-distance running twice a week. I like playing computer games, swimming and take exercise three times a week. He is good at sports, but not good at English. I am smarter than him and I am good at math.
Although we have something different, we are always good friends.
