◆ 内容分析
本板块的话题是“保护我们的唯一家园 ——地球”。任务活动设计围绕一首英文歌曲展开,旨在明白:人类应该对大自然心怀感恩,对所造成的环境危害心存愧疚,并果断采取措施来保护我们的家园。本板块通过多模态语篇形式 —— 歌曲,着重培养 “听”和“读”的语言技能 ——婉转悠扬的曲调、简单易懂的歌词,可以在学唱的过程中激发探究本单元话题的兴趣,为单元学习做好热身。

3. Listen to the music again and answer the following questions.
(1) What are the rhyming words in this song
harm/alarm; seas/trees; clean/green; above/love; pollution/ solution
(2) How do you understand “harm” and “alarm” in this song
“Harm” means something bad we have done to the Earth, including polluting soils and seas, cutting down too many trees, etc.
“Alarm” means the signal that warns us of the dangers of environmental damage, which urges us to find a solution to this problem.
3. Answer the two questions on page 1.
(1) What is the message of the song
Humans have done much harm to the Earth, and we have to take action to change this situation.
(2) What can you do to help protect the environment
We can use less paper and fewer plastic bottles and bags. Cutting down on[削减,缩小(尺寸、数量或数目)] electricity usage [ ju s d ] (使用;利用;利用率) can also help reduce the air pollution that power stations(发电厂;发电站) create.
