New content presentation. 1. Look at the picture and try to understand the sentences: -- How often （can you jump） in a minute --…times in a minute.. 2. Choose a student translate the sentences in Chinese. 3. Then lead in the sentence 3 and 4: Try to read and translate. 4. Make new sentences by themselves. 5. Teacher asks: How many windows can you see in our classroom 6. Make new sentences by themselves and have a show time. 7. Teach a new sentence pattern: -- How long （can you run） in a minute --…metres / kilometres. 8. Read the sentences together. Step3. Practice. 1. Teacher tells students how to do part 1. 2. Students try to do it. 3. Show some students’ answers: write down on the blackboard. 4. Choose students read the sentences and translate them in Chinese. 5. Practice the passage in their groups and have a show time. Step 4. Homework. Using three new patterns make sentences: -- How often… --… -- How many… --… -- How long… --… Ss answer One of the student translates the sentences in Chinese.
