Poetry probably had its origins in traditional folk music tens of thousands of years ago. In that ____, there were no TVs or films, and writing had not been invented, so people would sit around the fire at night and sing songs to entertain themselves. Work in groups. Surf the Internet to research different forms of poetry and discover their formats. Find examples of three forms of poetry that you can imitate. Here are the names of some poem types and examples to get you started:
