No More Mystery in the Neighborhood…
no more 与 no longer
no more 与 no longer 只有位置的不同，而没有语义的差异。
no more 只能放在句首或句末。
no longer 除了放在句首或句末，还可以放在实义动词之前，助动词和系动词之后。如：
Language points
(1) no longer（= not…any longer），主要用来表示时间或距离的“不再”，意在对现在的情况和过去的情况加以比较，所以多用于现在时。它一般修饰延续性动词，表示某个动作或状态不再延续下去。
(2) no more（= not…any more），主要用来表示数量和程度，一般常修饰短暂性动词，指某动作不再重复发生，它所表达的是 never again 或“没有更多”的含义。如：
I saw him no more. 我再没见过他。
I saw him no longer.
I will see him no more. 我再也不见他了。
I will no longer see him.

= You aren’t a child any longer. 你已不再是个孩子了。
He no longer lives here.
= He doesn’t live here any longer. 他不再住这里了。
The baby no more cried.
= The baby didn’t cry any more. 这个小孩不再哭了。
