教学重点： 1.通过故事导入和互动式问答引导学生学习新的词汇和目标语言。
2. 学会略读的技巧，快速掌握文章段落大意。 3..学会使用used to do 表达变化。
教学难点： 1.掌握used to do 的用法。
2.提高学生综合阅读能力和运用语言的能力。
教学过程
Lead-in 观察图片，从美丽的白天鹅联想到丑小鸭的故事，引出used to 结构。 T：do you know what the swan used to be It used to be an ugly duckling.He u used to be made fun of by others.He used to walk alone in snowy winter.He used to admire the beautiful swans in the sky. Until one day, he became a a beautiful swan himeself. 并感知be used to doing： He is used to flying high in the sky.He is used to people’s compliment. But he will never forget he used to be an ugly duckling. Pre-reading 引导学生根据标题对文章大意进行预测，回答问题。 T:We can look at the title “From Shy Girl to Pop Star” and the picture to predict what the passage is about. Answer the following questions: What is the passage about It’s about a girl’s changes. What was the girl like in the past She used to be shy. What does she do now She is a pop singer. While-reading 略读了解各段大意（skimming） 介绍略读技巧，让学生尝试把段落大意与段落匹配。 T:Skimming is to find the main ideas by first taking a look at the title,pictures,key words and phrases and topic sentences.Let’s try this way to match the main ideas with each paragraph. Paragraph 1- Candy’s background. Paragraph 2 - How Candy’s life has changed. Paragraph3 - Candy’s advice to young people. 细读（Careful reading） 精读每段，回答所提问题。 Paragraph 1：Complete Candy’s background. Name: Candy Wang Area:Asia Age: 19 Job: Pop singer Personality: Shy --- Not shy any more Paragraph 2: Answer questions and list advantages and disadvantages of being famous according to Candy. Paragraph 3: Fill in the blanks about Candy’s advice to young people. Candy gave some advice to young people who want to be famous. 1.You have to be prepared to give up your normal life. 2.You can never imagine how difficult the road to success is. Although Candy thought about giving up many times, she kept fighting on. 3.You require a lot of talent and hard work to succeed.The number of people who can make it to the top is small .
