Step 1. Warm-Up: Personal Connections to Nature

Step 2. Pre-Reading
Display an image of Sarek National Park and discuss its location and significance.
Briefly introduce the concept of a national park and its purpose for preserving natural areas.
Step 3. While-Reading
Activity 1: Skimming and Scanning
Provide a brief overview of the article. Divide students into pairs and give each pair a set of questions related to the article's main points. Instruct students to skim and scan the article to find the relevant information to answer the questions.
Activity 2: Vocabulary Enrichment
Select key vocabulary words from the article and create a vocabulary list. Discuss the meanings of these words as a class. Have students work individually or in pairs to create sentences using the new vocabulary.
Activity 3: Comprehension Check
Prepare a set of multiple-choice questions based on the content of the article. Conduct a class discussion to answer the questions and explain the reasoning behind the choices.
