1．Read new words.
2．Read after the tape/teacher and pay attention to the pronunciation.
Step 3：Listening
1．Let the students look through the sentences in Activity 1 carefully.
2．Play the tape.Listen and decide what Tony's problem is.Use the words in the box to help you.

5．Let the students read the sentences aloud.
6．Tell them to read the sentences in Activity 2.

Step 4：Listening and reading
1．Play the tape.Let the students listen to the conversation.
2．Let the students read it and underline all the points which are important with their partners.
3．Show the points to the class，and the teacher explains some difficulties to them.
4．Work in groups.Discuss what the problem is between Tony and his father.Give your advice.
5．Check the answer.
6．Work in pairs，and act out the conversation.
