教学目标
知识目标:
1.能够听、说、读、写单词primary school, street, middle school。
2.理解There be句型的语法意义,并能根据图片、实物活用句型。
3.能理解Learn to say部分的内容,并能根据对话内容选择正确的句型进行描述。
能力目标:学生能就自己喜欢的内容进行交际,养成用英语交际的及积极参与课堂教学活动,乐于完成任务的好习惯。
情感态度价值观:学生产生热爱学校以及家乡,爱护学校一草一木的良好情感和生活态度。
学情分析
本课是快乐英语四年级上册Unit1 Lesson1的第一课时。本单元的内容是学生能够用“There be”句型描述“某处有某物”,本课又是本单元的基础,内容贴近学生生活,主要是让学生能够围绕身边生活的事物,利用There be句型进行有效的交际,是学生们比较喜欢的话题之一,所以有利于学生间开展交流。本课的教学对象为四年级的孩子,他们已经具备一定的听说读写的能力,对英语学习的主动性比较高,课堂参与度较高,容易被新鲜的事物吸引,竞争意识较强。因此我设计了多种手段来激发学生的学习兴趣,从而轻松的运用语言。
重点难点
.教学重点是表示客观存在的“某地有某物”的There be句型。要求学生能运用该句型正确描述图片内容。
2.教学难点是介词短语的正确使用,教师要通过图片或实例向学生直观地展示,帮助学生理解、掌握、运用介词短语。
教学过程
【导入】Step 1 Greeting and Warming-up
T: Good morning, everyone!
S: Good morning ,Miss Liu !
T: How are you!
S: I’m fine, and you
T: Fine, thank you.
T: First let’s say a chant.
【设计意图】说一段跟方位介词有关的chant,为新课的学习做铺垫。
T: We have two groups.(板书G1 G2) If you did a good job you can walk one step, please try to get the flag ok
S: OK.
【设计意图】此环节先展示出两组,是为了本课的学习做准备,为学生接下来的小组活动奠定基础。
【导入】Step 2 Presentation 
Lead in the topic
T: Children, I bring a friend to our class. Do you want to know
T: She is Susan. She is a reporter.
T: Say “hello”to Susan.
T: e are going to a place with Marty.
T: Do you want to go
S: Yes.
T: Now let’s learn Lesson1 (blackboard writing lesson1)
【设计意图】利用Susan将带领大家去个地方来创设情境,吸引学生注意力,使学生很快进入到学习中来。
【讲授】Steps 3 New lesson and practice
1. Listen to the tape first time.
T: But where will Susan go .
T: Maybe Guangming Primary School or Gangtun Primary School ( Listen to the tape, and answer the questions)
2. Learn the word“primary school”.
T: Susan goes to Guangming Primary School.
T: Look, what a big school!
T: This is a primary school.
T: Follow me, primary school
S: Primary school
T: pay attention to my mouth. The letter p pronounces /p/
T: I i i/ ai/ / ai// ai/
T: A a a / / / / / /
T: Double o pronounce / U/ / U/ / U/

Ss read the word in different ways.
3. Learn the pattern“There is a tall tree in front of it”.
T: What can you see in the primary school
Help the Ss answer the question with the sentence pattern: “I can see a … in it.”
Such as:
S:I can see a tree.
T: You can see a tree. It’s a tall tree.
T: I think you say“ There is a tall tree in front of it.”(Read some times then write the sentences on the blackboard)
4. Practice the main pattern“There is …in/on/in front of/ under/ behind…”
(PPT shows a bear and a tree)lead the students to say
“There is a bear in front of the tree.”(讲解there is …句型,以及可根据方位不同使用不同的方位介词。)
Show some picture on the blackboard and make sentences with “There is … in/ under/ in front of/ behind …”
(黑板上出示树,桌子,小鸟,兔子,图片,学生根据自己喜欢的
位置摆放事物,并用 “There is … in/ under/ in front of/ behind …”句型进行描述。)
5. Listen to the tape twice and answer the question.
T: We know Susan visits Guangming Primary School, yes
T: Read after the tape loudly. Try to find the answer.
Q1.Is there a tall tree in front of Guangming Primary School
( Read the dialogue in different ways then discuss the question in groups.)
6. Learn the word “middle school”.
T: There is a tall tree in front of Guangming Primary School.
And there is a middle school next to it.
(Teach “middle school ”in different ways.)
7. Lead the phrase “ go along ” and new word “street”.
T: Hi, children, now you now where’s Guangming Primary School
(PPT shows the map of Guangming Primary School. Ss try to describe the way to it)
S: First go along this street.(出示路标,体会 go along, turn left, turn right )
T Teach “street” in different ways.
T: s s /s/ /s/ /s/ tr /tr/ /tr/ /tr/.
Double e pronounce / i:/ (show some words including “ee”, bee, free, tree, street.
【设计意图】在讲授新单词时,每个单词都是以不同形式出现,也没有Susan游览Guanming Primary School这个大情境,还注意运用“There is …”句型对学生身边实物进行拓展,设计的活动以学生为主体,尽可能发挥学生的主体作用,发展学生自己用英语解决问题的能力。
【练习】Steps 4 Extend

Show the sentences There is _____ in/on/in front of/ under______.
Pair work: Free talk with the sentence: There is a … in/on/under/near…(PPT shows the tip words, Ss can make sentences with their own things to practice the sentence pattern: There is a … under/ in / on /…)
【设计意图】充分利用了小组合作的形式来开展交流,实现语言的综合运用能力。
【测试】Step 5 Consolidation 
1. Fill in the blanks about the text
T: Susan will visit Huludao and see you, are you happy
T: If you can fill in the blanks .She will come, OK
S: (Finish the dialogue on the paper.)
T: OK, stop. Who can read (投影展示学生的提单,教师边听该生读文,边判断学生的书写时候正确)
【设计意图】此环节是再次回归到文本教学,首先,让学生尽量模仿磁带中的语音语调,然后以填空的形式,检测学生的语言输出。
2. Make a dialogue.
T: Susan comes .And you are the tour guide.
T: Can you tell her the places of Huludao where she wants to go
PPT shows the pictures about the famous places in Huludao.
T: You can chose one place to tell her.(Use the main pattern “There is …”)
A: Excuse me. _______________
B: Oh, I know./Oh, that’s beautiful.
A: How can I get there
B: _______________. Turn left.
There is __________ next to _______.
And ____________________.
A: Thank you.
B: You are welcome.
Make the new dialogue in groups.(2 minutes)
S:(Practise the dialogue in groups then show the dialogue)
3. Write a letter.
T: I think you can write the letter to Susan and tell her the place of Huludao.
T : Please write the letter on your paper .It’s you homework.
【设计意图】 此活动旨在训练同学们的语言输出能力,教师为学生们提供语言支架,将抽象的语言具体化, 帮助学生养成良好的语言输出能力,并注重说写结合,将对话落实在笔头上, 提高写作能力。
【测试】Steps 6 Summary and emotion
1. T: What have you learnt this lesson
2. Selects the winning group.
3. Emotion : Please love our school, love our city Huludao, please.(PPT shows the pictures)
【设计思路】让学生自己总结单词和“There is…”句型,他们会记得更深刻, 通过欣赏葫芦岛美景,启发学生热爱学校热爱葫芦岛这座城市,从而使情感得到升华。
【作业】Steps 7 Homework
1. Copy the new words four times: primary school street, middle school.
2. Write a letter to Susan about the places of Huludao on the paper using the pattern sentences.
【设计意图】学生通过作业巩固新知,发挥想象,完成对话。
