教学目标
【Knowledge aims】To enable the students to understand and speak :“The deer’s neck is long. The giraffe’s neck is longer.
Make sure that they can use them in real situations.
【Ability aims】1. Educate their abilities of speaking and listening.
2. Foster their abilities of communication.
【Emotion aims】Foster their consciousness of good co-operation and proper competition. After learning this lesson, the students will be able
to create the conditions and make dialogues by using the new sentence pattern “A is …, B is …er.”

教学过程
【活动】Warm up
Say Hello to each other and say a chant together.
【导入】Lead in and presentation
1. T: Look at the screen. There are so many animals. You know animals are our good friends and they are very interesting.
Look , What’s this (图片导入) (The students will answer ‘giraffes, deers and so on’, then the teacher show the pictures)
2.The teacher ask:“Do you like animals Today, Miss Lin and her students are going to the zoo. Let’s go with them, ok ” (播放录音)
3.T:How many animals have you heard (The students will answer : giraffes, deers and so on’)
4.T: There are two animals are talking.
Ask some simple questions: ↗What are they
↘What are they talking about
Help the students to learn new words: fast, faster; slow, slower.
5. Use the same way to teach other words: big--bigger; small-- smaller; long--longer; tall--taller; heavy--heavier.
6. Read the dialogues after the recorder and try to pick out the key sentences. Let the groups say something about the comparative
degree.
7. Play a game: Pick up the apples. (让学生自主学习,总结形容词比较级的规则)
8. Using the new words to make a new chant.

CAI will show some animal cartoons, the students will make dialogues by using the new sentence pattern.

Game: 男女生个一组,通过掷彩子,走方格,说句子,看哪一组最先到达终点. (设计意图:游戏环节巩固了同学们刚刚学的新句型,而且同过做游戏进一步激发了学生学习英语的兴趣,让学生更踊跃的参与到课堂教学当中来,敢于,勇于开口说英语.)

出示三动物卡片,用学过的比较级和所了解的最高级说句子。
出示三张本班同学的照片,用学过的比较级和所了解的最高级说句子。(设计意图:此环节给学生设定一定的环节,让学生自主练习说句子,让学生能在实际中运用做铺垫.)
