教材分析(Analysis of the teaching materials) 单元整体分析(Unit integral analysis) 本模块选自外研版八年级上册Module 9 Population属于“人与社会”范畴的“世界人口变化趋势、人口变化造成的影响、城镇人口的变迁以及由此带来的人们生活方式的改变” 以及“人与自然”的“城镇化造成的环境污染问题”。 Unit 1 的对话围绕Tony和Lingling关于世界、尼日利亚、巴基斯坦、及印度的人口变化趋势及其影响展开,也明确提出了人口过多、或过少都会引起一定的社会问题。对话共五个话轮,可以分为三个部分。第一部分:Tony点明研究世界人口的原因;第二部分:Lingling 介绍了世界人口的变化趋势,人口增长速度最快的几个国家及其带来的影响;第三个部分讲述了人口增长缓慢带来的影响。每个部分的对话都是按照“制作人口调查报告”的逻辑引进,引导学生辩证看待人口变化问题。 Unit 2 课文从Jo这个学生谈起,介绍了她所在的小镇Parkwille变成Arnwick的城镇化进程及其产生的问题,最后再扩展到全世界共同面临的问题。通过分析文章结构可以发现,课文最后没有回到Jo,而是直接结束,这是典型的英语文章的写法。 Unit 3 展示了四个城市在不同年份的人口变化,两篇关于人口变化及其带来的问题的文章,及一篇关于汽车俱乐部的听力材料。 本模块的核心语法是能够正确使用冠词;能理解并准确表达大数字。核心语言主要围绕人口变化及影响(The population of ...is/was/will be...It increased to/will drop to....); 城镇化遇到的问题(There is/are....too many people/too much pollution/not enough/not enough...);政府及个人的作用(The government is....We should take some actions to....There will be....)等。

Summary & assessment (10 mins) Learn to reflect, summarize, and evaluate learning procedures and take actions to make our city livable. Each group will talk about their poster making procedures. Students have self-assessment, peer assessment, and teacher assessment. Presenters announce the best posters and choose the first place to take part in the post making competition. Students summarize what to do to make our city livable. 通过观察,记录各小组代表的讨论、评价,了解学生的学习过程,学习成果,及时给予指导和肯定。 组织学生选出最优秀的作品参加佛山市宣传组织部的“魅力佛山,有你有我”活动。 引导学生深入思考:作为城市小公民,如何为建设美好家园贡献自己的一份力量。
设计意图(Purpose):通过小组讨论、自评、互评,让学生学会在反思中成长。同时让同学们选出最优秀的作品去参加佛山市宣传组织部的海报招募活动,实现了大单元的最终目标。在迁移的语境中,学生创造性地利用所学知识进行环保、节能方面的宣传,为建设美好、绿色的宜居家园出一份力量,在实际教学中,同学还可以通过录制宣传视频,创设公众号等方式,实现学科育人目标。(应用实践、迁移创新)
