Task 1 Choosing a study tour
Task description
Pupils get into pairs and then read leaflets about two study tours. They decide which study tour they would like to go on and discuss the activities they would like to do in the afternoons during the study tour.

Task steps
Read the rubrics and examples carefully with the class. Practise the language needed for the task and demonstrate the steps by using the pictures at each step of the task.
Part A
Pupils get into pairs and read the leaflets about two study tours on the Copymasters.
Pupils talk about where they will go, how long and where they will stay. They choose a study tour to go on together.
Tell pupils to write their decisions on the task sheet.
Part B
Still in pairs, pupils discuss what they would like to do together in the afternoons during the study tour. They write their decisions on the task sheet.
More able pupils could write a report on why they chose a particular study tour and/or what they decided to do on their free days.
Get into pairs. Read the leaflets about two study tours. Choose one to go on together. Discuss where you will go, how long and where you will stay. Then write your decisions on the task sheet.
