Task 6 Giving out awards
Task description
Pupils get into groups and think of awards for their classmates. They discuss and make notes about who should get the awards and then give them out.

Task steps
Read the rubrics and examples carefully with the class. Practise the language needed for the task and demonstrate the steps by using the pictures at each step of the task.
Part A
Pupils get into groups. They think of some awards for their classmates to help one another to remember their school life better. Then they make notes about the awards on Copymaster 1.
Part B
Pupils then discuss who should get the awards and make notes about the winners on Copymaster 1.
Part C
Pupils make copies of the awards on Copymaster 2, cut them out and write down the names of the award winners on them.
Then they give the awards to the winners.
More able pupils could make a list of all the awards and the names of the winners to be put on the noticeboard.
Get into groups. Think of some awards for your classmates to help one another remember your school life better. Write the names of the awards on Copymaster 1.
