Grammar
He knew (that) he should work hard.
2. 连词 if / whether, 意为“是否”。
Tom don’t know if / whether his grandpa likes the present.
He doesn’t know whether to stay or not.
It depends on whether it is going to rain.
③ 与or not连用:
例:They are talking about whether to go there or not.
连接代词:who, whom, whose, what, which
连接副词:when, where why, how
who在从句中作主语、表语;
whom在从句中作宾语;
whose在从句中作定语;
what, which在从句中作主语、宾语、表语或定语;
when, where, why, how在从句中分别作时间状语、地点状语、原因状语、方式状语。
Can you tell me where will we go (×)
Can you tell me where we will go ( √ )
She said, “I will leave a message on the desk.”
→ She said (that) she would leave a message on the desk.
“Where are the tickets ” I asked him.
→ I asked him where the tickets are.
