Task 2 Talking about signs
Task description
Pupils find a sign that tells them a rule. They draw this sign on the task sheet and make notes about it. Then they get into pairs and ask and answer questions about the signs.

Task steps
Read the rubrics and examples carefully with the class. Practise the language needed for the task and demonstrate the steps by using the pictures at each step of the task.
Part A
Pupils look for a sign that tells them a rule in a place where they have fun, e.g. library, playground, swimming pool, etc.
Pupils draw the sign on the task sheet.
Pupils then answer the questions about the sign on the task sheet.
More able pupils could draw and write about more than one sign. They can use a mind map to help them organise the information collected.
Part B
Pupils get into pairs. Following the example on the task sheet, they ask and answer questions about their signs.
Find a sign that tells you a rule. Draw the sign and answer the questions.
