Task 2 Make a shopping list for a pizza
Task description
In pairs, pupils pretend to make a pizza together. They brainstorm toppings to put on the pizza. Then they check the availability of these toppings and make a shopping list for the items they need to buy.

Task steps
Read the rubrics and examples carefully with the class. Practise the language needed for the task and demonstrate the steps by using the pictures at each step of the task.
Part A
Pupils get into pairs. Tell them they are making a pizza with their partner.
Pupils talk about what pizza toppings they like.
They decide on the toppings for their pizza and write them down on the task sheet.
Part B
5 Give Copymaster 1 to Pupil A and Copymaster 2 to Pupil B.
6 Pupil B looks at the list of toppings in Part A and asks Pupil A if the topping for their pizza is in the fridge on Copymaster 1.
7 Pupil A looks at Copymaster 1 and answers the question. If a topping is missing, Pupil B writes it on the shopping list on Copymaster 2.
8 More able pupils could make a second shopping list of toppings for a different kind of pizza.
Get into pairs. You are making a pizza with your partner. Choose toppings for the pizza and write them down.
