Task 4 My holidays
Task description
Pupils make notes about the activities they did last holidays. Based on the notes, they write about their holidays in their diaries. Finally they talk in pairs about what they did last holidays.

Task steps
Read the rubrics and examples carefully with the class. Practise the language needed for the task and demonstrate the steps by using the pictures at each step of the task. Revise the text type ‘diaries’ on page 23 of the Pupil’s Book with pupils.
Part A
Pupils make notes about what they did during their last holidays using the pictures on the task sheet as a reference. Bring a picture dictionary to class to let pupils look up words they don’t know.
Part B
Then they write about these activities in the diary on the task sheet.
Part C
Pupils then get into pairs and take turns to ask and tell each other about what they did in their last holidays.
More able pupils could write about what their partner did in his/her last holidays.
