Task 3 Writing a thank-you note
Task description
Pupils make notes about a person who helps them and write a thank-you note to that person.

Task steps
Read the rubrics and examples carefully with the class. Practise the language needed for the task and demonstrate the steps by using the pictures at each step of the task.
Part A
Ask pupils to choose a person who helps them. They make notes on the Copymaster about that person.
Part B
Pupils get into pairs. They tell their partner about the person who helps them.
More able pupils could talk about the appearance of that person.
Part C
According to their notes in the table, pupils write a note on the Copymaster to the person who helps them.
Part D
Tell pupils to copy out the note neatly and give it to the person who helps them.
More able pupils could use adjectives they have previously learnt.
