Task 5 Inviting a friend to go on a trip
Task description
Pupils get into pairs and choose a scenic nature spot in the city they live in. They talk about how to get there and what can be done at that place. Then they write a note to a friend to invite him / her to come along on the trip.
Learning target(s)

Task steps
Read the rubrics and examples carefully with the class. Practise the language needed for the task and demonstrate the steps by using the pictures at each step of the task.
Part A
Pupils get into pairs and choose a scenic nature spot in the city they live in.
Part B
Then they find out how to get to the place that they have chosen. Encourage pupils to surf the Net for the information.
They also discuss what they can do at that particular place.
Part C
Pupils write a note on the Copymaster to a friend, inviting him/her to come along on the trip. Tell pupils to refer to the note on page 38 of the Pupil’s Book as a model while writing the note.
More able pupils could make posters inviting pupils from other classes to join the trip.
