advice 是名词,ask for advice = ask for suggestions意为“征求/询问建议”。注意:advice 不可数名词 suggestion可数名词;表示“一条建议”用a piece of advice,“一些建议”是some advice;而suggestion则是可数名词,表示“一条建议”用a suggestion,“一些建议”是some suggestions, “许多建议”是many suggestions

注:当表示害怕/不敢做某事时,两者都可用;
若表示担心会发生某事时,只可用be afraid of doing 。

advise 是动词,advise sb. to do sth.意为“建议某人做某事”。

注:advise不能直接后跟不定式作宾语,所以不能说:He advised to leave early.
He advised me to buy a computer. 他建议我买台电脑。
He advised leaving early. 他建议早点动身。

4. I suggest you write four or five words a day on pieces of paper and place them in your room.

suggest v.建议;提议。表示 “建议”常用结构:
suggest sth.或suggest (sb.)doing sth.
注意:suggest 不可以加不定式
suggest + (that) + 主语 + (should) do + sth.其中的should可以省略
