知识目标
1.学生能听懂、会说、认读并书写词汇:street, Go straight,turn left/turn right。
2.学生能听懂、会说下列句子:Where is the ... Go straight and turn left/turn right.
能力目标
学生理解、听懂、会说词汇和问路的简单对话;渗透字母和字母组合的发音,对字母组合tr的发音有基础认识。

学情分析
四年级学生喜欢歌曲、儿歌、对话交流。学生已经掌握一些基本地点词汇,能分清right, left,本单元前两课又学习了问路的短语:Excuse me, Where is‥ 这些知识能力的储备,为本节课教学任务完成奠定了基础。
重点难点
教学重点
学生能听懂、会说下列句子:Where is the zoo Go straight and turn left/right.
教学难点
会用go straight, turn left, turn right指令，为人指路。
教学过程
Step I.Warming-up and Review.
1.Sing a song, <>.(全班一起边唱边做律动)
2.Play the Game“Simon Says”复习单词 left， right.
Step II.Presentation.
1.出示课题“In the City”播放一些城市的图片，让学生猜测City词义。
Watch a picture.教师提问： What can you see in the city
学生自由回答：In the city, we can see cars buses houses tree and street, 引出street,对比tree和street两个单词,区别两个单词中 tr发音不同。
城市中有很多条street，很容易迷路，引出单词lost。出示迷路女孩的图片猜测Lost词义。问Do you want to help her 学了这一课,我们就知道如何帮助女孩。
2.播放课文第一部分动画视频。
出示问题1. What happened to Danny
2.Where does Danny want to go
3. Where is the zoo
带着问题详读课文并讲解。新授go straight, turn left, turn right, 在黑板上画出路线图让学生把图片贴在相应的位置。
3.让四位学生站起来领读Go straight and turn left/turn right，指出并纠正学生的错误，学生将straight与street读音混淆。
4.让全班学生在手心自己练习拼写Go straight and turn left/turn right。
5.let’s play a game。快速反应,强化记忆。第一遍老师示范动作学生说指令Go straight and turn left/turn right。第二遍老师说指令，学生做动作，分组练习。
Step III.Consolidation.
1.将教室看作city，将提前准备好的library,zoo,restaurant卡片发给不同位置的学生。教师扮演迷路的人，向学生问路。各请2-3名同学回答How to go to the library How to go to the restaurant
How to go to the zoo 这个问题由学生做pair work。自编对话。
2.Let's Chant。
教师带读歌词，理解歌词大意。请两名学生尝试唱。最后全班跟着音乐一块唱。3.创设情境,巩固句型。
出示一张学校附近的地图。
创设情境：新来的同学在学校附近迷路了，你能帮助她找到去学校的路。给三分钟时间两人一组自编对话。请2-3组同学上台表演。
