The Louvre is one of the largest museums in the world, with a total area of almost 100 acres, including 650,000 square feet of exhibition rooms. Philippe August built the Louvre as a fortress (堡垒) just outside the city walls in the 12th century to protect Paris from being attacked.
The Louvre didn’t become a palace until the 16th century under Francois I, who broke the tower and added two new wings. Later that century, Catherine de Medicis had her own palace built in the Tuileries, which Henri IV joined to the Louvre in 1594 to form a monumental (作为纪念的) double palace.
The Louvre began its first step toward becoming a museum in the 18th century, when the abandoned (被抛弃的) palace developed as an artist’s living place and academy (学术) with public exhibitions of the important collections. After the Revolution (法国大革命), it was officially seen as a museum in 1793.
The Louvre Museum is open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. from Thursday through Sunday, and until 9:45 p.m. Mondays and Wednesdays. The main entrance at the pyramid is open from 9 a.m. until closing. The Porte des Lions is open from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. except on Tuesdays and Fridays. And visitors with pre-purchased (提前购买) tickets or museum passes can enter at the Passage Richelieu, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Please note that the museum is closed on Tuesdays.
Attention: Some collections are only open on certain days of the week. If you’re planning on seeing something specific, call or check the website to make sure it’s open.

3. A
on在……上面,in在……里,with带有,to向。 故选A。
4. A
5. A
with和……一起,on在……上面,to向,in在…… What’s the matter with sb. 故选A。
6. C
No smoking 禁止吸烟;No touching禁止触摸;No shouting禁止大喊。

It’s no good doing sth.
