新课导入：
Warming up：播放一段剑桥大学的视频。
提问：Where is Cambridge University
介绍剑桥并且介绍英国的其他景点。
介绍方位词：north, south, east, west, northwest, northeast, southeast, southwest以及方位介词in, on, to的使用。
新课讲授：
Look at the map of England and read the sentences.

动词不定式作后置定语：此处to visit是动词不定式作后置定语，修饰old buildings and churches。动词不定式常放在名词或者代词之后，作后置定语。
e.g. I have a lot of homework to do every day.

3. Students and tourists enjoy trips along the river by boat.
enjoy 【及物动词】喜欢，其后可接名词、代词或者动词-ing形式。
e.g. I enjoy different kinds of sports.
Children enjoy playing different kinds of games.
拓展：enjoy oneself 过得愉快；玩的开心=have a good time或have fun
e.g. They’re enjoying themselves at the amusement park.
= They’re having a good time at the amusement park.
= They’re having fun at the amusement park.
4. It is never very hot in summer or very cold in winter.
never 【副词】从不；永不
never同always, often, usually等频度副词一样，通常位于连系动词be、助动词或情态动词之后，行为动词之前。
e.g. She is never afraid of snakes.

本节课通过剑桥大学的宣传片，引出问题“Where is Cambridge University ”，进而引出剑桥和英国，本节课是一节阅读课，课程的设置从fast reading到careful reading，最后再到post reading，在难易程度上循序渐进，由浅及深，让学生充分了解了课文的内容，也充分了解了英国的地理地貌以及风土人情，让学生在学习中领略外国文化。
