新课导入:
Review: The 2020 Tokyo Olympics were held in Japan this summer.
Warming up:
What’s your favourite sport
新课讲授:
1 Listen and number the sports as you hear them.
Now match the words with the pictures.
2 Look at the sports in Activity 1 and talk about them. Use the words in the box to help you.
3 Listen and answer.
What are they talking about
A. They’re talking about a football match.
B. They’re talking about their favourite sports.
C. They’re talking about a kind of computer game.

Language points:
1. What’s the score
① score 【n.】得分;比分
e.g. — What’s the score of yesterday’s match — It’s 4:1.
②【v.】(体育比赛中)得分
e.g. Our school football team didn’t score yesterday.
2. Last week the match on TV was so boring because no one scored at all.
(1) boring与bored辨析
boring 烦人的;无聊的 指某人或某事物让人感到无聊 常作定语或者表语
bored 感觉厌烦的;厌倦的 常用来说明人的感受 常作表语
e.g. The film is very boring and I feel a little bored.
拓展:以ing结尾的形容词多修饰或说明事物,有时也可以描述人,说明事物或人本身的特性;以ed结尾的形容词多用来说明人的感受,常见的这类词有:
boring—bored interesting—interested exciting—excited relaxing—relaxed
e.g. The game is interesting and I am interested in it.
(2) not at all
①一点儿也不,根本不
not一般与连系动词be、助动词或情态动词连用,而at all位于句末。
e.g. I didn’t like the game at all.
②别客气 常用于回答对方的感谢。
e.g. —Thank you very much. — Not at all.
3. What’s the matter with you, Tony
What’s the matter 怎么了?
用来询问某人或某物出了什么状况或问题,后面可以接with短语。
e.g. Jim didn’t come to school today. What’s the matter with him
拓展:询问“某人/某物怎么了”还有以下句型:
What’s up (with ...) What’s wrong (with ...)
What’s the trouble (with ...) What happens (to ...)

①【及物动词】(使)疼痛;(使)受伤
e.g. The little boy fell off his bike and hurt himself badly.
②【不及物动词】感到疼痛
e.g. I got a cold and my head hurts badly.
5. Well, I’m not sure about that.
be sure about/of 确信;对……有把握 其后可接名词、代词或动词ing形式
e.g. He is sure about/of being successful.

①be sure to do sth. 一定做某事;肯定做某事 表示说话人的推测和判断
e.g. The little boy is sure to win.
②sb. be sure that从句 肯定;有把握
e.g. The little boy is sure that he will win the match.
6. Yes, but that’s because it was cheaper than buying tickets for all the games.
that’s because ... 那是因为…… 其后加用以说明原因的句子
e.g. He didn’t come to school yesterday. That’s because he was ill.

that’s why ... 那就是……的原因 其后加用以说明结果的句子

mind 【动词】介意;讨厌;反对
①mind sth.介意某事 e.g. I don’t mind your rudeness.
②mind doing sth.介意做某事 e.g. I don’t mind doing the work by myself.
③mind sb. doing sth.介意做某事 e.g. Do you mind me opening the window

【课后反思】
本节课通过暑假刚举办的东京奥运会来引出各种类型的运动,然后通过听力活动对文章内容有基本的了解,后又通过对文本内容的仔细分析以及知识点的讲解,让学生对相关话题以及知识点有更深层的了解。不足在于对于多音节形容词的比较级的运用较少,学生操练得也不够。
