(1) be born with...天生具有……(某种天赋、缺陷、疾病、性格等)

born还可作adj.意为“天生的”。

(2) ability n.能力。have the ability to do sth. 有能力做某事

(1)whether or not ...是一个从句,作整个句子的主语,这种从句叫做“主语从句”。
她是否会来还是个问题。
(2)whether or not [连]是否。也可分开使用,即whether...or not
he is coming is not known.= she is coming is not known.
depend on 取决于、依靠、依赖,相当于 depend upon.后常接名词、代词或V-ing作宾语。不用于进行时态和被动语态。
Whether she will come back the weather.她是否会回来取决于天气。

have...in common 在(某方面)有共同特征。have和 in common之间可以用something, nothing, a lot, little等词表示程度。
The two robots have in common. 这两个机器人没有什么相同之处。
4. Creating an interest in what they learn建立对他们所学内容的兴趣。
create “创造;创建”,通常指创造出艺术作品中的人物及新的科学成果等;
discover“发现”,指发现原来客观存在但不为人所知的;
invent “发明”,指发明或创造出以前从未存在过的事。

(2)pay attention to注意,关注。to为介词,其后可接名词、代词或 V-ing。
pay no attention to 对...不要在意。

connect...with...把…和…联系/连接起来;be connected with与…有关系。

(1)even if 即使,虽然。引导让步状语从句,相当于even though.

(2)unless [连]除非,如果不=if...not..., 引导条件状语从句。
