1.教材分析
本节课是一节听说课，主要活动是1a, 2a和3a。通过人物对话学习有关询问姓名、国籍的表达方式，训练学生的听说能力，并能正确使用人称代词：you, they；形容词性物主代词：my, your；Be动词am, is are的一般现在时在不同情况下形式上的不同变化；特殊疑问词what, where, who引导的特殊疑问句以及缩写形式；初步了解元音字母a，e和辅音字母p, b, t, d, k和g的读音规则并能够根据已学音标进行单词的拼读和拼写。另外，在本课学生还将了解到一些西方国家的标志性建筑、自然风光和名胜古迹。为了让学生更好地掌握知识，本课时安排的学习任务为1a,1b和1c，以减轻他们的负担并掌握好基本句型。
II.教学目标
⒈ Knowledge aims
能够听懂、正确朗读并应用新学习的单词: excuse, me, name, America, Japan等；
能够正确使用be动词am, is的一般现在时在不同情况下形式上的不同变化及缩写形式I’m = I am, what’s = what is,
能够用英语熟练表达询问姓名，国籍的方式What’s your name Where are you from
能够正确运用特殊疑问词what, where引导的特殊疑问句。
⒉ Skill aims
能听懂有关询问姓名、国籍等基本情况的简单对话或叙述；
能运用图文就表示询问姓名、国籍等的基本情况的话题进行简单的交流；
能根据已学音标的初步知识拼读单词；
能正确地朗读对话，并能注意语音语调；
能写出询问对方基本情况的简单句。
⒊ Emotional aims
能够与同学积极合作，参与课堂活动，大胆实践，培养友好互助的精神；
能有兴趣用所学的功能句进行口头对话；
使学生乐于接触并了解异国文化。
Ⅲ.学情分析
我校学生一部分是由农村小学毕业选拔而来，一部分是城区学习选拔，因此，他们的英语基础水平参差不齐，所以课堂上必须得照顾到这部分农村小学毕业的学生，为他们提供零起点的英语基础教学，以让他们能够系统地从头开始学好英语，打好基础。鉴于此，本课时只安排1a,1b和1c 的教学，以减轻学生的学习负担，培养他们的自信心。在教学组织形式上，安排师生对话，生生对话中的双人互动及小组合作，让学生从多种形式中获取更多的学习经验。

Ⅰ.Greetings and revision:
The teacher greets with students, using the expressions in the last topic
The teacher greets with individual student
Ask students to greet with their friends
Ⅱ.Lead-in
Show a picture of the teacher and a picture of Palace Musuem, ask students “Who’s this ” Then introduce “I’m Lin Houying. My name is Lin Houying. I’m from China.”
Repeat to make the students understand. Then ask “Are you from China, too ” --“Yes, I am”
Present a picture of Jane. Ask and answer between the teacher and students, lead to the new expressions.
A: Excuse me, what’s your name,
please
B: My name is Jane.
A: Are you from China
B: No, I’m not.
A: Where are you from
B: I’m from Canada.
Ⅲ .Pre-listening:
Show more pictures of people and countries, learn the new words( names of countries) .Then ask students to make up conversations as the example. Perform in front of the class.
While-listening
1. Listen to 1a and answer questions
What’ s the name of the other girl
If you are the girl, “Where are you from ”.
2.Read 1a after the tape. Then act in roles.
Ⅳ .Further listening
Listen to 1b and number the pictures. Then listen again and match the names with the countries.
Fill in the blanks according to the pictures.

Look at the pictures and practice with your partners.
Compete in groups. Ask students to perform.
Ⅵ.Conclusion
Play a game. Show three pictures of traditional Chinese food. Ask students to choose one as their gift, but they need to finish the task given.

本节课学习询问名字与国籍，为避免在交流中出现较为单一的国籍对话，特引用了较多学生较为感兴趣的各国卡通人物，体育明星等的图片，吸引学生的注意力，使他们在丰富的素材中提高学习英语的兴趣，同时也活跃了课堂气氛，使学生在欢乐的情境中学习。采用男女生分组比赛的形式激励学生，可以在比赛后进行总结，并给予适当奖励，更能提高学生的积极性。
