本句是一般现在时态的句。Is it… 是一个固定句型，意为“它是……吗？”。
一般疑问句的简略回答，无论是肯定回答还是否定回答，前后应______, 即Yes后跟肯定形式，No后跟否定形式。 如：— Is it your ruler 这是你的尺子吗？— Yes, it is. /No, it isn’t. 是的，它是。/不，它不是。
【拓展】句型Is it/that/this...其他用法
Is it/that/this...是系动词be引导的一般疑问句， 一般疑问句的肯定回答通常用Yes，否定回答用No，并用来代替问句中的this或that,以避免重复。
