I. Material analysis
本课是第三话题的第二个课时,主要活动是1a和3a。通过图片复习问答时间。通过对话和谈论图片呈现生词与新句型和最喜爱的动物的表达法,为后面的听力练习做准备。

授课的对象为七年级的学生,大多数的孩子活泼开朗、积极上进。他们课前能认真预习,积极参与课堂活动,学英语积极性高,乐于编对话,口语流利且很有创意。
III. Teaching aims(教学目标)
1. Knowledge aims(知识目标)
能根据已学语音、音标及发音规则,正确朗读下列词汇并在实际的对话操练中加以应用:clever, animal, hour, later, get up
能继续正确使用wh-questions来询问时间,并能流利表达时间,能用“like, favorite”等来表达对某事物的喜爱,能用“It’s time to...”句型来表达是该做某事的时候了,如:
What time is it now / What’s the time now
It’s time to go to the zoo.
I like them very much.
What’s your favorite animals, Jane

能听懂、描述及询问时间的表达,能听懂简单的课堂用语并做出适当的反应;
能使用问答时间的句型进行简单的交流;
能在教师的指导下进行简单的角色表演、仿编对话等;
能用英语谈论自己喜爱的动物,并注意语音语调;
能够在图画的帮助下进行阅读,理解大意,并按要求进行语言活动;
能正确书写单词,并能正确使用单词造句。

1.在情景对话中,能继续学会用wh-questions来询问时间,能流利表达时间,能用“It’s time to...”句型来表达是该做某事的时候了。
2. 能用“like, favorite”等来表达对某事物的喜爱。

VII. Teaching procedures(教学过程)
Step 1. Review
1. Greeting.
Review how to express the time. Show different time on the screen , ask the students to say it as quickly as they can.
Step 2. Presentation
1. Look at the pictures, ask and answer between the teacher and students to lead to the new phrase “one hour later” .
Show a picture of daily activity on the screen and talk about it. Lead to the new phrase “get up” and the sentence structure “It’s time to …”
Look at the pictures in 3a carefully , match the phrases with the pictures. Then work in pairs and make up new conversations according to the example, pictures and phrases in 3a.
Ask some pairs to act out their conversations.
Use a sentence to describe each picture in 3a, join them together to be a short passage. Ask the students to write a short passage” Kangkang’s Day ” after class.
Step 3. Consolidation
Show some pictures of animals. Ask the students to say the names of them. Then talk about their favorite animals and reasons.
Listen to 1a. Match the children and their favorite animals in 1b.
Listen to 1a again and write down their reasons in 1b.
Check the answers in 1b.
Step 4. Practice
Read 1a after the tape and imitate the pronunciation and intonation.
Practice 1a in roles.
Find out main language points, then explain them.
Step 5. Project
Create a situation. Make up new conversations similar to 1a.
Homework:
(1). Recite 1a in Section B.
(2) Finish the workbook Section B.
(3) Write a short passage “Kangkang’s Day” according to the information in 3a.
(3) Preview Section C.
