教材分析 Let’s learn部分依照惯例，仍然是重点词汇和重点句式的呈现、学习。本课中Sarah和自己的弟弟在玩手影，通过观察他们手影的样子，来引出动物类三会词汇：pig, bear, cat, duck, dog。这五个单词中，dog, cat在学习字母及其发音时已经接触过，bear, duck在上一课时也出现过，pig这个单词又非常易读易拼写，而且这五种动物学生都非常熟悉，因此，学生理解掌握本课的重点词汇应该不会太吃力。在教学中要通过多种活动来让学生使用重点句式：What’s this It’s a ... 来操练重点词汇。让学生在用中学。Let’s Chant是与动物相关的一个比较长的韵句，涉及到了五个三会动物单词，以及形容词fat, big, 还有表示位置的短语：on the log, in the truck, on the pear.这需要通过实际的图片或实物来让学生理解短语的意思，在理解的基础上，能够熟练地诵唱韵句，帮助他们在有节奏地说唱中掌握三会词汇的读音。
学情分析 We love animals 这一单元围绕小动物展开对单词的认知，与学生的日常生活联系紧密。因为学生的年龄特点，对动物也都很偏爱，所以在本课中要运用多样化教学手段使学生轻松掌握重难点。在学习小动物名称的同时，教育孩子们要珍爱小动物，因为动物是人类最好的朋友。在鼓励性语言评价中树立学生的自信心，让学生有兴趣说英语，做游戏及积极参与合作。
核心素养教学目标 语言知识目标：能够听懂、会说、认读单词：pig, bear, cat, duck, dog。2.思维能力目标：培养学生的语言节奏感；提高学生的合作能力。3.学习能力目标：能够在真实或虚拟的情景中听懂、会说、认读句式：It’s a ...。4.文化品格目标：培养学生爱护动物的良好品质。
