Analysis of the Teaching Material 本节课是一节听说课。首先通过节日图片向学生呈现国外的传统节日一Halloween,回忆节日的名称以及与节日有关的文化专属用语,并引入相关短语。因这是本单元第四课时,在前三课时的基础上语言运用难度有提高,课堂任务应该追求语言学习的实践和应用能力的提升。
Analysis of the Students 通过本单元前两课的学习,学生进一步掌握了中国传统节日的专属用语。而且对于本课时的学习内容Halloween,大部分学生已经有了一定的了解,而且中外节日是学生比较感兴趣的话题,这是学习本课的优势。教师可以鼓励同学通过阅读、查阅相关书籍或网络信息了解西方节日文化,减轻因背景文化积累不足可能带来的学习压力。

Learningability 通过关于庆祝万圣节的听力理解和谈论万圣节相关的庆祝活动,培养听、说能力。
Thinking quality 通过万圣节活动庆祝的活动,思考万圣节对于外国在生活上的寓意,思考我们是否应该庆祝外国的节日;
Cultural awareness 通过对万圣节的看法以及庆祝节日的讨论,认识到中英文化上的共同之处和不同点;
Teaching Points 1.重点:在听的过程中准确处理和获取信息,能就所听内容进行会话交流。2.难点:通过交流表达和听力训练,引导学生通过对西方节日的了解,体会西方节日的乐趣。

Step2Lead-in Show some pictures or songs of some Chinese festivals (the Spring Festival,the Mid-Autumn Festival,the Lantern Festival,the Dragon Boat Festival) and foreign festivals (Thanksgiving Day,April Fool's Day,Christmas,Halloween) to play a guessing game.Then ask some students to tell the dates of the four foreign festivals. 根据图片,思考问题,回答问题 通过guessing game,即让学生看图或者听歌猜中外节日,活跃课堂气氛,激发学生的学习兴趣。

Step4While-listening Work on 1ab & 1c1b:Listening skill:pay attention to the key words(1)Play the tape for the first time.Ask the students to master the whole conversation.Then answer the questions in 1b.(2)Discuss the questions and check the answers.1c:(1)Scan these sentences with blanks.(2)Play the recording again.Remind them of the details.Students fill in the blanks.(3)Play the recording for the third time and check the answers.Read aloud the sentences. 完成1b&1c听力练习。 让学生加深对万圣节活动的记忆,增强教学的实效性,也为后面“说”的练习做好铺垫。
