【教学目标】
(1)能够听、说、读、写单词:countryside, feed, pick, friendly, quickly。
(2)能够说出常见家禽名称,并简单描述自己喜欢的小动物,及喜爱原因。
(3)能够听、说、运用句型:
This farm is beautiful.
And it’s so far from the city.

Step 1 New words and expression.
(1) countryside

(2) quickly快速
He’s eating quickly.
(3) pick 采摘
She is picking vegetables.
(4) feed v. 喂
They are feeding the cow.
(5) friendly友好地
They are friendly.
通过单词游戏,引出要学习的新知,引起学生的兴趣,然后利用学生的迁移能力,引导学生自读单词,培养学生的思维能力。
Step 2 课文内容学习
课堂导入:
Have you ever been to a farm Do you like the cow (呈现教课书图片。)
听录音,学习第一部分内容。
文本内容:
Li Ming is visiting his uncle’s farm. His friend Jack is with him.
Jack: Wow, Li Ming! This farm is beautiful! And it’s so far from the city.
Li Ming: I love the farm! The countryside is so nice and quiet.
Jack: What do you like to do here
Li Ming: I like to feed the animals and pick vegetables and e on! Let’s feed the animals!
Jack: I’m afraid. Are the animals friendly
Li Ming: Don’t worry! The animals are very e on! We can feed the cows.
Jack: OK!
(Li Ming and Jack are feeding the cows.)
Li Ming: You are doing a good job, Jack! The cows like you.
Jack: Thanks! They are eating very quickly.
Li Ming: This is my favourite cow. Her name is Niuniu.
Jack: Hello, Niuniu. Are you hungry
Niuniu: Moo …
Jack: She is answering me. This is fun!
通过听录音,跟读录音,分角色朗读,集中学生注意力,提高听读的效果,巩固所学的知识。
Dig In
In English, a cow says, “Moo, Moo”.
A chicken says, “Buck, Buck, Buck”.
A rooster says, “Cock a doodle doo”.
A duck says, “Quack, Quack”.
A pig says, “Oink, Oink”.
A dog says, “Woof, Woof”.
A cat says, “Meow, Meow”.
What sounds do these animals make in Chinese
Language points:
1. The countryside is so nice and quiet.
countryside 名词, 意为“郊外;乡村”。
该词是由country和side组合成的复合词。
My grandfather and mother live in the countryside.
我的爷爷奶奶生活在乡下。
【延伸】country 名词,意为“国家”。
如:China is a big country.
中国是一个大国。
2. on the farm 在农场
in the tree 在树上
e.g. There are two kites in the tree. 树上有两个风筝。
on the tree (长)在树上
e.g. The leaves on the tree are yellow now. 现在树上的叶子黄了。
3. be far from 离……远
e.g. My school is very far from here.
我的学校离这儿很远。
far作形容词时,在句中可作表语和定语;
far作副词时,在句中作状语。
e.g. He can jump far. 他能跳得很远。
Tom comes from a far country.
汤姆来自一个遥远的国家。
4. Come on! 快(点)!/来(吧)!
常用于祈使句,在不同的语境中,意思不一样。既可用于催促、请求、鼓励、戏说等,又可表示责备或不耐烦,也可用于体育竞赛等场合鼓励队员,意为“加油”。
e.g. Come on! Let’s feed the animals.
快!我们去喂动物。
Come on. It’s getting dark.
快点,天要黑了。
“Come on!”, shouted the students again and again.
“加油!”同学们一次又一次地喊。
5. feed /fi d/ v. 喂;喂养
feed on sth.以某物为生;feed sth. to sb.把某物喂给某人=feed sb. with/on sth.用某物喂某人。
e.g. Sheep feed on grass. 绵羊以草为生。
6. be afraid 害怕
常用短语be afraid of sth.害怕某物;be afraid to do sth.害怕去做某事。
e.g. I’m afraid of dogs. 我害怕狗。
I’m afraid to go out at night. 我害怕晚上出去。
Step 3 Let’s Do It!
1. Listen to the passage and match the people with the actions.
2. What animals does Li Ming see on his uncle’s farm Complete the words.
3. Read the lesson and fill in the blanks.
4. Work in pairs. Talk about your favourite animals. Draw a picture and write about your favourite animal.
