Lesson 33 Let’s Go to the Zoo!
【教学目标】
1. 能够掌握重点词汇: dream, noise, lion, lonely, miss, forest, course。
2. 能用已经学习的词汇和句型,谈论自己喜爱的动物。
3. 掌握重点句型:Can you see the … I see him. He looks cute. / They are making noises. / He looks lonely! / Maybe he is missing the forest.
4. 能够用正确的语音、语调朗读课文中的对话。能运用所学知识与他人问候交流,进行英语日常交际。
【教学重难点】
重点:能够听、说、读、写单词:dream, noise, lion, lonely, miss, forest, course。
难点:掌握和运用购物的句型。

【教学过程】
新课导入:
Lead-in
1. Show some pictures about animals. Ask the students to ask and answer like this:
A: What animals can you see in the picture
B: I can see ...
2. Ask the students to think about this question: What other animals do you know Get some students to give their answers.
新课讲授:
Step 1 New words and expression.
1. Teach the new words dream, noise, lion, lonely, miss, forest and course by asking the students to read them aloud. Make sure the students can pronounce the words correctly and know their meanings.
lion / la n/ n. 狮子 forest / f r st/ n. 森林
noise /n z/ n. 响声;噪音 make noises 吵闹
dream /dri m/ v. 做梦 n.梦;梦想 lonely / l nl / adj. 孤独的
miss /m s/ v. 想念;错过
course /k s/ n. 过程;经过 of course 当然
2. Ask the students to read and match each word with its meaning.
Step 2 课文内容学习
课堂导入:
Do you often go to the zoo What is your favorite animal
(呈现教课书图片。)听录音,学习第一部分内容。
文本内容:
Danny: Look, Jenny! Monkeys! Are they eating donuts
Jenny: No, they aren’t. They are eating bananas.
Danny: Wow! Can you see the panda, Jenny
Jenny: Oh, I see him. He looks cute.
Danny: Look over there! The tiger is eating meat. He is hungry.
Jenny: Yes, he is! Do you see the elephant
Danny: I see him! Is he sleeping
Jenny: Yes. He is dreaming.
Jenny: See those birds
Danny: Yes. I see them. They are making noises.
Jenny: They are singing, Danny. They are happy!
Danny: Look at the lion! Is he sad He looks lonely!
Jenny: Maybe he is missing the forest.
通过听录音,跟读录音,分角色朗读,集中学生注意力,提高听读的效果,巩固所学的知识。
Language points:
1. They are making noises. 他们正在吵闹。
make noises意为“吵闹”,noise此处用作可数名词,意为“响声;噪音”。noise也可用作不可数名词。
Don’t make any noises. 不要弄出响声。
The children are making so much noise. 子们正在吵吵闹闹。
The noise makes us nervous. 这噪音使我们很焦虑。
The sound of the running water is nice. 流水的声音很美。
Her voice is very beautiful. 她的嗓音很动听。
2. He looks lonely! 他看起来很孤独!
(1) look此处用作连系动词,意为“看起来”,后面通常接形容词作表语。
The girls look happy. 些女孩子看上去很高兴。
(2) lonely形容词,意为“孤独的”,强调心理或情感上孤单。
He feels lonely in the house. 在这所房子里感觉很孤独。
[拓展] lone副词,意为“孤独;独自”,强调客观上没有其他人陪伴。
She lives alone, but she never feels lonely. 一个人生活,但从未感到孤独。
3. Maybe he is missing the forest. 可能他正在想念森林。
miss作动词,意为“想念”。
Tony is in Beijing now and he misses his parents very much. 尼现在在北京,他非常想念他的父母。
[拓展] (1) miss作动词,意为“错过;未赶上”。
Hurry up! Or we’ll miss the early bus. 快点儿!否则我们会错过早班公共汽车。
(2) Miss作名词,意为“小姐;女士”。
Miss Liu is from Beijing. 刘女士来自北京。
4. in a tree 在树上
Can you see the birds in the tree
你能看到树上的鸟吗?
There are some beautiful flowers on the tree.
在树上有一些美丽的花。
Step 3 Let’s Do It!
1. Listen to the statements and circle the correct pictures.
2. Read the lesson and circle the correct words.
3. Read the passage. Circle the animal words and underline the present continuous tense.
4. Work in groups. Interview your classmates about their favourite animals and fill in the table.
