【教学目标】
(1)能够听、说、读、写单词:ride, off, lady, straight, traffic, luck。
(2)能听懂关于问路的对话,能使用祈使句和现在进行时。能使用本课的词汇及句式礼貌地问路及回答。
(3)能够听、说、运用句型:
①How can we get there
②We can take Bus 42!
③Danny and Jenny get off the bus.
④But they get lost on the way to the bookstore.
⑤Go down this street. Turn left at the traffic lights.
(4)能够用正确的语音, 语调朗读课文中的对话, 能运用所学知识与他人问候交流,进行英语日常交际。

新课导入:
Warm up
根据课件图片进行学习,引入本课的内容学习。
新课讲授:
Step 1 New words and expression.
(1) ride v. [ raid ] 骑;乘坐
She is riding a bike.
(2) off [ :f ] adv. 离开;关上……
get off 下车
turn off 关掉(自来水、电灯等)
(3) lost adj. [ l st ] 迷路
be lost =get lost
(4) lady n. /'le d / 女士
a pretty lady
(5) traffic ['tr f k] 交通;车辆
(6) straight adv./adj. [stre t] 直的
go straight
(7) luck n. [l k] 运气;幸运

通过单词游戏,引出要学习的新知,引起学生的兴趣,然后利用学生的迁移能力,引导学生自读单词,培养学生的思维能力。
Step 2 课文内容学习
课堂导入:
How do you usually go to the bookstore
Do you know how to ask the way if you lose your way
(呈现教课书图片。)
听录音,学习第一部分内容。
文本内容:
Jenny: Danny, let’s go to the bookstore!
Danny: How can we get there
Jenny: Hmm ... We can ride our bikes!
Danny: I can’t ride my bike. It’s broken.
Jenny: Oh, I see. We can take Bus 42!
Danny: Great! Let’s take the bus!
(Danny and Jenny get off the bus. But they get lost on the way to the bookstore. They see a lady. They ask her the way.)
Danny: Excuse me. Can you help us We are looking for the bookstore. Where is it
Lady: Do you have a map
Jenny: Yes. Here it is.
Lady: OK. Good! See, you are here. Go down this street.
Turn left at the traffic lights. Then go straight and you can see the bookstore. Good luck!
Danny & Jenny: Thank you very much!
Lady: You’re welcome.
通过听录音,跟读录音,分角色朗读,集中学生注意力,提高听读的效果,巩固所学的知识。
Language points:
1. How can we get there 我们怎样才能到那里呢?
这个句子是用来询问如何去某地的句型。其结构为“How+can+主语+动词原形+其他 ”。
考查答语。回答可用“by+交通工具”的形式。
e.g. —How can he go to school 他怎样去上学?
—By bus. 乘公共汽车。
2. 常见的问路方式:
(1)How can I get (to) ...
(2)Which is the way (to) ...
(3)Where is ...
(4)Can you tell me the way (to) ...
对问路的常见回答有:
(1)Go down/along this street.
(2)Turn left/right at the traffic lights.
(3)Turn left/right at the first/second/third turning.
(4)You can/will see ... on your left/right.
3. How can we get there
get there 到那儿
“get to+地点”意为“到达某地”。此处there为地点副词,所以省略to。
e.g. Try to get home before 6 p.m.
尽量在下午6点以前到家。
4. We can take Bus 42.
take Bus 42 乘坐42路公共汽车
take a bus to ...=go to ... by bus
Bus 42 意为“42路公共汽车”,是专有名词,顺序和汉语恰恰相反,再如:Room 203 “203房间”;Grade 7 “七年级”;Lesson 7 “第7课”;Page 7 “第七页”。
5. on one’s/the way to+地点 在去……的路上
e.g. There is a bookstore on my way home.
在我回家的路上有一个书店。
考查on one’s/the way to ...,当地点为home/here/there等地点副词时,to省略。
6. ask sb. the way向某人问路
ask sb. to do sth.要求某人去做某事;ask sb. not to do sth.要求某人不要做某事。
e.g. My mother asks me to go home early.
我妈妈要我早点儿回家。
7. good luck好运
luck n. 运气→lucky adj. 幸运的→luckily adv. 幸运地
e.g. You are a lucky dog. 你是个幸运儿。
常用短语:bad luck不幸;out of luck不走运;for luck图个吉利;no such luck
没那么走运。

3. Fill in the blanks with the words in the box.
4. Work in pairs. Imagine you are lost. Use the map below and take turns asking for and giving directions to each location.
