Lesson 30 Grandma’s Birthday Party
【教学目标】
(1)能够听、说、读、写单词:set, birthday, house, cook, talk。
(2)灵活运用一般现在时和现在进行时,能够用英语表达开生日晚会的场景。
(3)能够听、说、运用句型:
1) Today is my grandma’s birthday.
2) My family is having a party. It’s at my grandma and grandpa’s house.
3) My mother and Aunt Jane are cooking.

课堂导入:
What will you buy for your grandma’s birthday
What will your parents do at your grandma’s birthday party (呈现教课书图片。)
听录音,学习第一部分内容。
文本内容:
Today is my grandma’s birthday. My family is having a party. It’s at my grandma and grandpa’s house.
My mother and Aunt Jane are cooking.
My brother Bob is setting the table. My grandpa, my father and Uncle Fred are talking and laughing.
My sister Lynn is playing with my cousin, Heidi.
My grandma gets many presents. She loves the present from my mum—a little dog! His name is Teacup!
My grandma is old, but she likes to have fun. She is dancing with my cousins. We are all happy. I love my grandma. Happy Birthday Grandma!
通过听录音,跟读录音,分角色朗读,集中学生注意力,提高听读的效果,巩固所学的知识。
Language points:
1. Today is my grandma’s birthday.
今天是我奶奶的生日。
该句的结构是“主语(时间)+系动词be+表语”。
当表示时间的名词如today, tomorrow (明天)或tonight (今天晚上)作主语时,可以用it来替换。
e.g. Today is my son’s birthday.=It is my son’s birthday today. 今天是我儿子的生日。
birthday可以作定语修饰另一个名词,不必用所有格形式。
e.g. a birthday cake一个生日蛋糕
a birthday party 一个生日聚会
birthday presents生日礼物
2. My grandpa, my father and Uncle Fred are talking and laughing. 我爷爷、爸爸和叔叔弗雷德正在说笑。
句中有两个and,均为并列连词。第一个and连接几个并列的名词作主语,因此句子的谓语动词用复数形式。第二个and连接两个动词的现在分词形式。
e.g. Jenny and Lynn are both students.
詹妮和琳都是学生。
The girls are singing and dancing happily.
女孩们高兴地又唱又跳。

3. Fill in the blanks with the correct forms of the given verbs.
4. Work in groups. Imagine you are at a birthday party. Who are you with What are you doing Are you having fun Talk about it. Then write a short passage and present it to the class.
